Just had my first visit to the auctions!!
I don't like the way the do the bidding though, I'd rather you could just place a max bid and wait for it to finish.
Some of them had something which seemed like ebay's buy it now option but I didn't seem to be able to choose that one...am I missing something?
I was bidding but me bid only went up to about 5000, I had to bid another couple of times to stay top but then in the last 0.00024 seconds the bid went from about 6000 to +55000 without me getting notified!!

I've not touched it since collecting all the cars and acquiring 970/1000 achievement score - something I only managed so quickly because a friend of mine gifted me all 150 or so of his cars before he got rid of the game, most of which I then put on the auction house and sold for a tidy sum.
I'll keep the game as I can see myself playing online again in the future but after the tedium that was career mode I need a long break.

To begin with its 3 races and 3 laps on each race.
Later, it goes up to 5 races with 6-8 laps each, sometimes forcing you to use a D class (slow) car.Last edited by Jebus; 01-07-2007, 18:44.

You can do that to get achievements for collecting cars from different regions but the 4 secret achievements require you to collect all production cars, to collect all aftermarket tuned cars, to collect all race cars and, finally, to collect every car in the game. It isn't enough that you once owned then sold them, you have to own them all at once.

I just can't get enough of this, and yes I have to admit some races are quite boring, I just want to finish the game asap as for me the real fun starts when I have actually finished the game, then I will get much more into tuning the cars, painting cars and going for the fast times on TT ! and playing it more online ofcourse !
I can see me playing this for the coming months , for me this is the best racing game ever !

Just won my first auction car!
It was a cheap Legend of Zelda mini. I have to admit...some of the cars on there are damn ugly!!!
Has anybody done a NTSC-UK branded car yet? I'm going to have a play with designing my own the coming weekend I think, not going to bother with any of the designs with photo realistic characters yet though.
I'm a little confused with the "gift" option. Is it a gift a one off? As in, if you design one and you give it as a gift, does it go or can you give the same design to multiple people?
I realised today that I had all the driving aids on...Doh! I've turned them off now and it really improves the handling.
A combination of this and GT4 will hopefully keep me going until GT5 Concept arrive in the autumn!!
