Hi, tyler.. I don't have a PS3 unfortunately (tho if I did I would definitely have MnG5!) so wouldn't have seen your post, but DavidHolliss mentioned your request in the WiiFit translation thread.
Can't really make out the last character on the three options in the new pic (is it 必須?) but I'm pretty sure they will mean something like this:
Mission
Chip-in required / Eagle required / Within 2m of pin required
Also, I actually just got around to having a look at the Wi-Fi mode for Minna no Golf Portable 2 (had it a while, but never bothered trying it out online, even though it's probably the biggest difference from the first game!) and I could see it has similar kind of options so I was able to clear up a couple of the things I wasn't sure of.
- For create tournament 2 I think the 'same grade' on the left is grade achieved within the game, and the one on the right is from your results in online play (on PSP, G3 is beginner class).
- 'Gachinko' rule (tournament options 3) is where all players characters are set to the same level.

Just started playing this morning.
What are the two options you get when playing single or multiplayer? After everyone has selected their chara etc. Then you come to a final screen where there are two options in the bottom right of the screen. The default one is a picture of a red person, and the other one is a kind of half green, half yellow heart. What do they do?
Also can anybody shed some light on the alternative swing method? It seems to be better, but I can't really work it out.
And how do you unlock extra stuff in single player, via Challenge Mode?Last edited by J0e Musashi; 23-02-2008, 15:55.Kept you waiting, huh?

The new swing method takes some getting used to but its all I use now as you can get more distance and control. It is harder to judge distance for shots where you don't need full power. In the new swing, you'll notice a small red flash on the club when your halfway and again when its at full power.
And finally, you unlock everything playing the single player challenge mode, such as new clubs/balls/players/caddys/courses.

Been playing this a lot lately and it's simply awesome.
At first I was a bit iffy about the new swing mode, but once you have the hang of it and can judge the power correctly, it's almost natural.
Can't wait for the new content coming soon. New character at the end of this month and a new course in April!
