Can someone explain the marathon man achievement to me? I've checked a guide and I have visited EVERY terminal, but not in order, or in one playthrough...I've loaded the start of each level/checkpoint and accessed them, then used "save and quit"...

What have I done wrong?

EDIT: Sorted now!! I realised that I hadn't FULLY read the no7 one. It did that read thingy where it looks like it's searching, I must not have realised that they did that on my first attempt.

2 gold skulls and 2 silver to go now One is on "Cortana"...

Let me try that again, worded better;

• RB in-front of each terminal.
• Keep pressing A until it seems to go no further.
• Leave it until it goes a bit haywire and it goes red.
• Keep pressing A until you see the red arrow pointing left at the bottom of the screen on the left side.

That skull on Cortana is a bit of a git to get, but I'm guessing you haven't yet got number nine, which is a piece of piss (not to mention the easiest one) to get?

I finished it on normal a couple of days back.

Can I now try the higher skill levels on each of the areas or do I pick a higher skill level and just have to play through the whole game like I did the first time?

Yeah I've got number nine

It's the one on the first level and Cortana I haven't got. (Saving them for a co-op playthrough since you can't really avoid the level one skull once you know it's there!)

Yes, if you select Campaign from the main menu you can re-play any level at any difficulty and also tinker with the gameplay and play meta-games by activating any skulls you may have found.

Blair, I don't believe playing meta games vetos getting the achievements as activating the skulls make the game harder, but don't quote me on that.

Is there a terminal on every level or not? Also how many skulls per level? As I now want to go back and find them all but it would help if I had an idea of how many i'm looking for per level.

7 terminals in all and 13 skulls - 9 gold (1 on each level) and 4 silver.

there are 3 on The Ark, 3 on The Covenant, and the final one's found on Halo.

So far I have one gold skull, the one from level 9, which must be the easiest... simply becuase i found it easy and all the others seem impossible to find to me, its quite ridiculous really.

Nope, it'd be a little harsh considering they make the game harder

Ok decided I was fed up looking for the skulls and used the videos for a few. Do you have to start the level from the begining for a skull to be there then? I tried to get the gold skull on the first level by starting at the 3rd checkpoint you can load the level up from, I did exactly what it shows you in the video and the skull wasnt there.

Also am I the only person who thinks some of these things you have to do to get a skull are just insane? I cant belive anyone would get many of them without a guide to be honest.

I never found any on Halo 2 either and I can see why if they are suppose to have made them easier to get in this one.
