Macau is brilliant, steterburg is also a great addition, I have to say I?ve hardly touched Shanghai....
I need to put some more time into this one, it?s massive to really learn the tracks..
Yeah.... it's blisteringly fast. What's really impressive is how smooth it feels. They haven't used a ridiculous amount of "Motion Blur" ... which gets a major thumbs-up from me.

Quite a few people have been moaning about the game not being anything radically new, but that's stupid, when you consider how solid the experience is.

PGR2 was one of my favourite games, and no4 is very close to eclipsing my fondness for that edition.

    My game of the year.

yeah, the whole game just feel right.
it took me a few hours to really appreciate the game, but the more I played it the more I liked it, and I still do, once you know the tracks a little better you´ll see they are pretty awesome...
Avenida de Dr.Rodrigues in Macau springs to mind, that track is absolutely mindblowing in an A class car. But only after you learn the track.... And I have still many to learn in the game !
After some races I have to cool down a bit, because the race was an absolute RUSH !!! I enjoy even watching the replays again in a game, they are really pretty with some great camera angles.
I´m just getting the grips a little with st.Peterburgs and Macau, still Shanghai and Quebec to learn...

I even start to like the bikes in the game (which I hated in the beginning...)

it´s just a shame not so many people are playing the ranked matches online, I have to wait most of the time petty long to get a race going...

Yeah.... the game is rock solid in all areas.

        Dr.Rodrigues Rocks!!!

What a stunning track. It feels like something from an arcade machine. My bro and friends, have been playing that track the most. It's easy to learn, and a pure adrenaline rush.

I can't fault the title. It's a shame that it doesn't appear to be as popular as you'd expect it to be. What are racing fans playing? .... Forza2 probably

bit of a bump for this in case anybody has some sale money burnign a hole in your pocket.

really is a rock solid stunnign racer that seems a bit short on the Kudos it deserves.

its not doing anything stunningly original but is pretty much nigh on the perfect evolution of all the PGR and MSR games.

single player offline mode is pretty big too, spent a few hours going thru it today as had sidelined this myself. its really rather good.

Totally agree merf. Best racing game this generation imo.

It's such a complete package. the addition of bikes and weather may not make a massive difference, but they all add to an already impressive game with the best handling and kudos system in any BC game to date.

If this is the last real PGR that we ever see, then the series has gone out on a massive high.

Am I going daft or is it impossible to skip days during the career calendar? I am now at a point filling in challenges I missed, but can't skip passed ones I have done.

Even if I start a race and then choose abandon, it takes me back to the same career day. How rubbish? Back in the case you go PGR4, you great big disappointment you.

I bought this at launch I guess this a bit of a marmite game you love it or hate it. Certainly not the best 360 racer for me I prefer Forza and even PGR3. I really dislike the stupid career calender and the bikes. I am not at all surprised that theres not much action online as upon release everyone I know seemed to be playing it but they quickly went back to forza. Shame really was a really good series until this latest release.

I have to disagree with the above. No 4 seems like such a fine tuned game. They have nailed the Kudos system which was pretty broken in 3 and it now becomes a reason to use it rather than just being there.

I also think there is a lot of depth to all the different challenges. Whether it be cone challenges, time vs kudos of even straight knockout races. This combined with a huge selection of cities all with some real stand out tracks makes a great overall package.

It's definelty my racer of the year and this gen. If anyone fancies a race then my name is Tubbbs online.

Loving the F430 Scuderia. The 400pts download is WELL worth it for all the extra challenges imho!

yep, that download is awesome, the Scuderia is a blast to drive, as well as that crazy 650bhp Golf !
Last days I've only been playing PGR4 again ! awesome stuff

I just got this again and i'm loving it! I've completed arcade mode on silver, and i'm playing it online and time attack mainly at the moment. Not going to bother with career mode yet. Oh, and I love the selection of cars and bikes - The best collection in any racing game IMO.

Anyone else still play this occasionally?

I've been playing this again recently too, mainly trying to finish off the gold and platinum medals in arcade, but I still prefer PGR3 as it's Cat & Mouse mode is as close to gaming perfection as it gets. PGR4's C&M mode, in comparison, is abysmal but as a pure racer is the better game and probably has the finest selection of tracks ever to grace a videogame.
