I wasnt convinced i was going to buy this because PGR3 was a big let down. God im glad i took the chance as this is really back on form, im loving the career mode right now.

I hated the bikes to begin with but now they are just about all i use, a total blast to use. You cant beat a good 3 star drift around a corner on a bike.

Not had much to play it yet but what I have played I've enjoyed a lot. I've always liked the half-way house realism of the PGR series.

The structure is confusing me a bit though in career mode. I wasn't expecting such a change.

same for me, never liked moto gp and found the bikes horrible in this initially but with a bit of practice they feel amazing and you can really zip them round corners.

Not only is it super fun, it's also given me 500 gamer points in 2 days for essentially just hooning around with fast cars and bikes!

Considering I only managed 65 in PGR 3 it's a nice change.

the achievements are great, really beefs up the gamerscore.

they really seem to have gone to town on the surroundings as well, london and new york both been in previous games but i keep getting distracted by buildings I've worked in or bars I know in both which never happened on pgr3

got to say i'm seeing this personally as the first great accesible bike racer with a nice car racer thrown in at the moment

can highly recommend the bulldog game mode (unlockable in the career mode) one of you is it and the idea is you have to tag all the other cars, then they become it too, until all of you are tagged. instead of just being done on tracks though, you race the entire tracks at once ( feels a bit like midtown madness)

played for an hour or so yesterday, brilliant fun

Ok i bet i'm missing someting really obvious here, just started this half hour ago and bought the British pack of cars including the Delorean, yet when i go to choose a car in Arcade or Career they're not in there?
Then when i go to my garage they're not there either, ju7st a few random cars i can't even seem to race yet? WtF?

gamerscore bumping aside this game really is good.

the fact that the challenge is just right, the fact it is getting harder and harder to make rank 1 and the juicy pad throwing in frustration arcade challenges to come makes this a tasty prospect.

Throw in some very good multi (though the matchmaking thing for teams seems b0rked for me atm) and this could be my fave racer of the year so far.

Doesn't have the tech side of forza but has the fun sim\arcade racing bit down to a T, plus is has move "life" in one night time rainy track the the entire game of forza.

*Sniff* going to miss those cone challenges (as i seemed to be the only person who loved them in pgr 3)

My brother and I loved the cone challenges as well, and although not quite as good, the new cone sprints are still pretty fun.

Spent 4hours tonight just doing the first arcade superstar challenge on Platinum for Bike and car (car took one hour bike 3!!!). Totally addicted and it lovely every ounce goregous apart from the flickering graphics bug on wipers in dashboard view

Whilst playing Arcade and Career, to prevent you from having an unfair advantage, only a small selection of vehicles, pre-determined by whatever stage you're on, are available and this is reflected in your garages. All the vehicles you've bought/unlocked however are freely available to use in all custom/time attack/test track and multiplayer matches.
