I found sunshine Challenging, exciting, and fresh. I also hated the roller coaster bit.

It looked fantastic (it still does actualy, its one of the most coulourful and sharp looking games ever made) and to me it was an extention of mario 64, which even if it was never gonna be quite as well loved as that game, certainly had as much effort and content put into it. Plus you mention the camera, the camera in sunshine was fantastic, like someone else mentioned on here it was as vital as controling mario himself... Galaxy's camera is the one thing thats wrong with it really, its killed me a few times now and its just plain annoying in some places when you want to control it and cant.

If you like then fair enough I didn't , and the camera system was up there with Banjoo as one of the worst I've seen . I like to use my right thumb onthe right stick or C stick to move a camera, but in games like Mario I use my right Thumb to jump and use the water cannon , well I found it annoying when trying to climb up the scaffolding or what ever and trying to move the camera , use the A button ect all the same time .


I don't know why NCl changed the camera system in Mario 64 , seeing as thats still the best there is imo

Cant post.......salivating/playing this........10/10 for sures. Just pure magic on a disk.....like being fed high grade charlie by pixies. Wowzers.

Up to 58 stars, its only just struck me what a nice balance this game has.
Some of the stars were utter bastards but the game seems to reward you with less swear word inducing challenges as you go along.

They should stop making Mario games. This game can't be topped. Actually, they should just stop making games altogether. Any magazine that has given any game a ten this year should demote every single one of them except Galaxy.

Absolutely love this game to bits, game of the year by a large margin easily, up to 60 stars now and just taking it slow, savouring every minute of it!

What was funny is that my 2 year old cousin was visiting earlier and was completely captivated by the game. When he saw Mario

spinning with the whirlwinds he would shout 'Mario! Helicopter!'

And he also runs around now shouting, 'Mario stomp!!'

Good stuff mr woo! It really is a gem of a game, think I'm on 59 stars the now, I want it to last until christmas holidays when the madness of uni is all finished and I can actually appreciate how good it is but I think I'll end up rinsing it before then!

I tend to do either a galaxy a night or a few stars from one galaxy a night.

You always feels like you're making progress and it just keeps you coming back, I'm certainly in no rush to just fly through it and it's great to play some other games and then do a few levels on Mario Galaxy before going to bed. Always leaves a smile on my face.

That exactly what I do, just do a few stars before bedtime. Katy is now "helping" collect the gems. Although she does have a habit of sticking here cursor right over Mario at the worst possible time.

LOVING this game, but can I just say - the camera controls under water are horrendous.

The level where you are swimming under water and have to get the missiles to follow Mario comes to mind - horrible.

Actually the camera in a lot of places is horrible, where you are running towards the camera and get squished/hit by some you can see in front of you. It's not game breaking - the game is AMAZING, even when I die, I'm grinning like an idiot at how much fun I'm having, but the camera is not as perfect as I had originally read in previews.
