Apparently if you don't have your charm or intimidate at a high enough level, the Wrex encounter ends in tears...

I have done two playthroughs and each time the decision about saving the Council was different. I was amazed that it totally changes everything depending on the choice to pick.

I did the 'bad' choice on my second run through and then went back and did the last boss again to make the 'right' choice. I think I once heard mention of them taking save data into the sequel so i wanted to make sure i had the right decision saved incase it does affect the next game.

Yeah I imagined that if my charm / intimidate skill hadn't been high enough it wouldn't have ended pretty. He was really pissed off (and an amazing piece of voice acting to portray that so well).

If they do incorporate the save data in to the next game that would be really, really cool touch.

At the very end I chose

      not to save the council.

The Reaper was my top priority.

Plus, it served the pious alien bastards right after all their "Nah nah nah, The Reapers don't exist, nah nah nah, you're the only one whose seen them, nah nah nah"

Rumour is that the first of the DLC is coming early in the new year and that it will carve out the story between the end of the game and the start of number two. On that basis alone it has the potential to be great.

          BIG SPOILER

This was the most astonishing moment in the whole game imo. My charm\intimidate was maxed and I tried to resolve the situation peacefully since Wrex was my most used character. Unfortunately I had mocked Ashley the whole way through the game because of her stupid whiney voice and the bitch suddenly shot him for no reason!! I hadn't given the order for her to shoot so she acted just to piss me off. The response options matched my feelings exactly - "WHAT THE HELL?!?!".

It was only after talking to someone else about the moment I realised that you could actually get through the scene peacefully. Incredible.

Needless to say, the tough choice that comes up after this wasn't so tough after all.

What a brilliant game though. As soon as I watched through all the credits I started again straight away. I absolutely adore the universe they've created and I cannot wait to find out more about it. Time to re-read the book I think

          I don't know where

they will be heading next though. The reapers should stay on the sidelines imo, they are such an mystery that I hope Bioware don't try and explain them too much. I don't know what will happen with the Geth either, presume they'll go back 'home' now that their 'god' is dead.

          I want mooooooooooore.

Well the ending bit suggested that there could be

countless sleeper agents under the control of The Reapers

so I'm guessing the next instalment will

have an all new villain trying to bring them back.

Be interesting to see if the
make another appearance because I was soft enough

to believe its whispering promises and let it go.

Might be a bit of a problem given that I destroyed Saren's work into finding a cure to the Krogan Genophage.

A possible `Oops!` moment in hindsight

Slightly annoyed, played through the game again on hardcore this time and didn't received the achievement and once again I didnt get the achievement for having a certain character with you for most of the game.

Where Mass Effect triumphs over its predecessors is in that it doesn't cut a straight good/bad line through things. Yes, you can act like a jerk as well but in the main, being a Renegade doesn't necessarily mean you're a corrupt, evil bastard and the decisions you make are mostly ones of idealism versus practicality. Throughout the entire game, the Council accuses you and humanity of being too self absorbed, too concerned with the small picture and how things immediately relate to the Alliance so it's a joy to find that come the end of the game...

                **Spoiler**

You can throw that right back in their faces by refusing to risk sacrificing the ships you'll need against Sovereign on saving their pious, lecturing asses.

Same thing goes for Noveria and Virmire, it's not like either decision is really bad, they're all just tough decisions you have to weigh up and take. Even some of the briefest sidequests take this line, like the woman who won't have gene therapy on her unborn child because of the miniscule risk involved, depsite the fact her husband may have passed on a dangerous heart defect.

Plus Garrus and Wrex are seriously frickin' awesome. That counts for a lot too.

If one were to have access to Partnernet, one can see some of what the DLC includes.

I can't play it as dev kits don't play retail disks but I can see what some of it is...

Bumped 31hours last night (about 29 gametime) still doing all the sub missions and faffing and looks like Im still fair bit away from doing the main missions but Im still not getting itchy feet with it (and I always get itchy feet!).

I hope the sequel loads your save in it as Ive come across so far two major plots what could bite me in a sequel (playing it soft with everything on first go). I can see this being my game of the year the way its going (ok not played Mario or Drakes Fortune as their for chrimbly) as its already surpassed COD4 for me storywise. Ive only come across one bug so far as well getting stuck in terrain with the vehicle so my least buggy game of the year on 360

                      You bloody tease!

And I know if I were to ask "what is some of it?" you'll say "I can't say".

So, with that in mind, what is some of it?

Would they even put DLC up this early?

Id expect plenty of DLC to come out for this, their well known on PC to give us packs for their games in the past. They might not have had enough time to shove the content in before it went gold so adding chapters afterwards.

Well I was quite enjoying this until I got to the

                              bird being controlled by Saren

2 hours of trying, I still can't beat her - now I can't be arsed anymore as it's completely spoilt any enjoyment I had for the game. It takes longer to reload the scene and plow through the dialogue that what I can last against her half the time - idiotic.

It goes back to the shop tomorrow - pity.

Sound like your tackling her head on which won't work even if you power leveled, it should be balantly oblivious with her super fast sheild regen powers and the 1st mini cs, protip -

Defeat the guards, every time she summons more kill them all, till the bar with her name on it runs out(seen during the mini cut scene calling inthe guards), after that you win.
