Wow this game is great. The reviews did put me off slightly, but after playing it, all I can say is wow. This game seems to focus more on attacking rather than defense like in the first game, so obviously this game is much more fast paced. It's basically an extension of the first game, there aren't many new things that I have come across. The only problem is the camera in narrow places. The first level had a lot of them, it isn't as bad as I expected, but it is slightly annoying.

EDIT : Also the multiple save points make it less tedious when you die, so you don't have to start the whole level over agian. Also if you die before a boss, you are able to just repeat the boss section rather than having to go from a save point to the boss fight.

It's exactly the same. It pretty much stays where it is unless you press the right stick or R trigger to reset it behind you. I can't say it's a problem really but you do need to line it up properly before attempting any acrobatics like double wall-runs etc.

I didn't get annoyed at NG :B camera, it was only untill people mentioned it to me about the dodgy camera that I started to notice. It is not as bad as people are claiming.

What a great game! I have been playing for a good couple of hours and I love it. The camera seems less prone to wondering than it did in the demo, and the bad guys seem to but up a good fight (playing on the harder of the two difficulties). There are some amazing set pieces and some stunnning locations to fight in. already spotted a few doa references throughout the first three levels.

Battled my way to Chapter 6 so far. Liking this a lot, but I was such a fan of the previous games anyway.

The action is definitely a lot quicker. Like others have said, the camera isnt anywhere near as bad as some have made it out to be. In fact, I dont think I would even notice its flaws if it werent for everyone else banging on about it.

Playing through on Way of the Warrior difficulty, dont think its as difficult as NG:Sigma is. The bosses are suprisingly easy to take down, I've mainly died fighting the regular enemies. So far, I havent found this as frustrating as Sigma is either. In this game, when I've died, its usually because of an error on my part, not due to any cheapness of the AI.

I am super pumped for this game, I LOVED the first game and eventually beat it on hard.

Unfortunately I sold my 360 a while bk to generate immediate cash and have yet to buy a new one. Obviously now is the time, I'm thinking I'll be able to afford it next month.

Can anyone answer the following questions-

                -How many stages this time?

-Do corpses stay on the flaw this time, while you remain in the room?

-On regular normal difficulty, is this the same as the first game?

-Are all the cut scenes still done in real time?

-What are the bosses like in terms of difficulty?

EDIT- You know TN are going to bring out a revised version of this game in the future.

Could i ask before buying have they got rid of the counter attack system? Couldnt seem to get it to happen in the demo, looks like they have replaced it for this dash counter instead of counter attacking...err yeah, anyway any info would be great thanks!

There's still counters in this game.

I think you're getting counters confused with rolling, which has become dashing in the new game.

The New York section is pissing me off. Especially with those guys that blow up when they touch you and the always out of reach flame guys/dragons that by the time you get a shot off with your bow, they've already knocked you back.

3 times I've had the dragons hitting me constantly where I can't move with the flames and ended up dying.

Best way to deal with them dragons is to use the incendiary shurikens, can even use auto-aim and kill them in one hit.

I am so glad I wasn't put off by the less than enthusiatic reviews for NG2. So far I think it is superb. I have no problems with the camera, it is certainly no worse than Ninja Gaiden: Black.

It also doesn't seem harder to me than NG1. It is more intense but there seems to be more in the way of life boosts. Ripping limbs off is great also, what a great addition to the series!

Take a chance on it people, colour me impressed with this one!

I'm only on chapter 4 but I've found this to be much easier than Ninja Gaiden 1. Of course I haven't unlocked the harder difficulties yet, and I haven't played much of it yet, but at this stage in Ninja Gaiden 1 I was dying all the time (mainly becuase I sucked at it when I started playing). Atleast there aren't any cheap bosses so far, unlike in the first game

Here's a tip for anyone who didn't look under options, the game is set to stereo by default for some reason, if you want 5.1 you have to turn it on.
