Half way through level six now on the harder of the two difficulties, and I havn't noticed anything cheap or unfair. My biggest stumbling block so far was

the second test of valour, as I had no energy potions left, but after a bit of practise I nailed it. Hardest boss so far for my was the third one, but it wasn't even that bad.

I agree that the lunar staff seems over powered compared to the rest of the weapons.

I have the dragon sword, lunar staff, blade on a chain thing and the double swords all powered to the max, but nowt comes close to the staff. Reckon what will seperate the men from the boys will be who gets the achievments for only using the one type of weapon!

Just bought this, and really enjoying it. The sound effects are awesome, especially that noise when you hit them full on with the lunar staff. Well worth getting if you like slash-emups.

Well this games taking a back seat for me. I missed the Rod of Trials (didn't even know what it was) and now can't access the Trials now and can't be bothered to start all over again (I'm on chapter 3). I don't want to finish a game if I missed something that gives me access to a part of the game I wanted to play.

It's a good game, just not good enough for me to replay the first 5 hours to get this darned thing which you can easily miss. Oh well, probably come back to it after all my other games I've had a go on.

            I didn't pay any attention to the pre-game news/release/hype.

Is there going to be a mission mode for this game aka Sigma/Black?

            Nothing was unlocked upon completetion
Mission mode is what makes NG for me, not story mode
No mission mode, sadly. I suspect it will be DLC later on. The tests of valor are the closest thing to mission mode right now. Speaking of which...

It's up to you of course, but 3 chapters in isn't very far at all. I'd restart, and it will be faster this time since you know what to do. Alternatively, you can do the trials if you replay on a higher difficulty.

I may go back to it in a few days to be honest but at the moment I seem to have only 2-3 hours spare a day for games (at most) and don't want to spend all my free time replaying.

It depends on how I feel. (I imagine playing a few minutes each day until I get back to that point) :P.

It is really a good game though, but playing on a harder difficulty will kick my butt as I don't play many action games like this much.

I'm developing a real love-hate relationship with this game, just like the first one. I love it so much I want to tough out the bad times but it's hard going

Thats the thing with Gaiden you can get so annoyed with some sections but delve into others and just enjoy every second. I have not died yet but the bosses so far have been a tad annoying.

The only other complaint I have about it is some of the fiend designs and repetitive moves from time to time. Other than that its perfection

What is everyones Karma scores: mR jun7ao

Thats my tag if anyone plays this game through to try and get to top of the leaderboards Will be interesting to see your scores.

Edit: Maybe better to set-up a different thread for this?

Oooooooooooooookaaaaaaaay. Far too much in love with the Falcon Claw's. Made sure I levelled them up before Genshin on the second stage, and good gosh golly do they make short work of anything.

I decided to restart as I too missed the Rod of Trials. Also stuck it on the harder setting. Not noticing any change though tbh, I'm still breezing through no problem. UT is far too spammable D:

It wasn't until the 2nd chapter that I really got into this. I think playing the 1st level through quite a few times meant I found that a chore, but i'm loving it now. Decided to go through on the harder difficulty level.

Does anyone have any tips for the end of level boss on chapter 2? I just seem to get combo'd to death straight away. Ultimates don't work, and Nipon has zero affect.

I did it by dashing a lot then getting a couple of hits in with the Dragon Sword when he slashed at where I'd just moved from.

Glad it's not just me that found Second level Boss hard work, not my sort of game but enjoyed it until meeting him - and I'm playing on the easiest setting \o/ just shows how important it is to stock up on the right stuff from the shop wen you get the opportunity.

I didn't find that one a problem TBH. It's the non-human bosses that annoy me. They are cheap like yo momma

It's funny though - this is the first game I've played in years and years that actually tries to stop you completing it by being ridiculously hard. Games just aren't as challenging any more, not like this.

Cheers Paulos! I will have another bash now I no longer want to smash my 360 pad into tiny pieces.

Yeah there have been a few times where I wish I could have re-thought my choices at the shop.

Love this game so much , and the graphics on the 4th level boss are a knock out How ever says this doesn't look any better than Smiga needs to go the Specsavers
