Just done act 3 all in one go for first time. Wow the story/cinematics just get better for me each act eclipses what I thought would not be beaten. Gorging on the story and bits are starting to fall into place of it all. Im getting the feeling already of wtf am I going to play after this as an experience theirs nothing else like it. Will be doing MGS1-4 anyway after this but Id rather have the odd so called "interactive" game like this anyday of the week then generic FPS. I just dont know why in this day and age we cant have stunning storys like MGS in more games. Yes it could do with some trimming and editing for the story to take out some guff but it still knocks into 6 practically every other story driven game about for me with exception of Final Fantasy. For me its like putting a epic film on and playing bits of it inbetween with the same epic feeling.

Eclipses GTAIV as GOTY for me already and that for me was one hell of a experience.

hah , I give up, no matter how many times I tried act 2 , even on very easy, I got a kill, I redid the level 3 times, then on the last time I CQC'd a PMC and he landed face first on a claymore he was setting up. lol, I don't need the

Hmm, I don't want to play through a 3rd time so I guess this'll be put on the shelf for now. awesome game, maybe I'll play it again in a few months, or just stick to MGO for now. bahh!

Do you know if frogs falling off the walls in the Palace (Act 1) counts as a kill? If you tranq them with the mk22 they fall off and die - does that count as a death?

I'm still puzzled as to exactly where on mission two I killed someone, its baffling me, I used the tranq all the way, or just CQC-knocked people out,

used the non lethal v round ammo in the shotgun on the powered gears, took a few gekkos out with the tanks gun, killed the boss with an m4 and then the tranq, get to the end every time, and 1 person killed .. arghhh

I got 7 kills on Act 2 and I tranq everyone so I gave up trying only thing for me what it could be would be near the end of the act but I wouldnt know any other way to do it. Stupid thing is its the only kills Ive had and Im on end of act 4 and I only ever fight bosses with the tranq only

on my 2nd play I only got two kills and that was on act 2, I found 1,3,4,5 very easy. sigh!

Remember that if you muck up on a no-kill or no-alert run; you have to reload your save. By letting yourself die and clicking continue will just carry over your stats pre-continue.

Yea I reloaded save each time on mine. Ive found it way too easy on normal, Ive been able to do boss fights with tranq and pretty much stand their for ages taking pot shots so it will be big boss extreme next time

bandanna, stealth camo, Gun del Sol, Altair costume, paid for the Tanegashima and just about every weapon under the sun

... did it all on Normal over a second and third playthrough and easy or not I'm still relatively proud of that little lot. I feel I earned them. I might try it on a harder difficulty level, but I'm not going for any of the serious emblems. I'm simply not good enough to avoid taking damage on Solid Normal, so eh.

As I've said before, mucking about with the unlockables feels so, so entertaining, though. So much fun. There's nothing in GTA that gives/gave me quite this feeling of "tee hee!"

did you have any trouble with no kills on your runs through? With the frogs I mean? And what is the Gun de Sol? That the Solar Gun? And was it hard to get the Altair suit?

This run I am going for 0 kills and 0 alerts, and will go for the Assassins Creed outfit after that.

It must be as I tranq one bloke on a balcony on Act 2 and he fell off it.

Just finished Act 4 and on half of 5. Story again sorry to be a bore but got even better, I was literally sat on edge of my bed waiting for act 5 to allow me to play. I know Im going to be fed up when it finishes as all other games am cry

No kills/alerts, briefly - spoilered just in case.

I got one kill on Act 1, went back and tried not to shoot any Frogs who'd stopped to hang off a wall. Other than that, fairly simple given I'd already beaten it - I can't think of anywhere it was a struggle not to kill someone, on top of just not being discovered. I tend to use the tranq pistol more often than not anyway. Act 2, similar, though I found it a bit more difficult to stay undetected; I relied very heavily on the Solid Eye and remembering the Frogs can hear it (especially in night vision) was a pain every now and then. The pre-boss fight was pretty easy; I just hid under one of the beds and tranqed the Frogs as they ran into the room. The first part of 3 was a breeze - plenty of room to shoot every PMC trooper and a fair amount of breathing space, though the vehicle patrol at the end was a pain. The motorcycle chase I did turn auto-aim on for. <_< 4 was okay - there were only a couple of troublespots figuring how to get past the Scarabs without being detected (I went trigger happy the first time through, butchered every last one) and those turned out to not be too hard after all. 5 was also a breeze - all three times I've found the opening section very easy to do without setting off an alert. The tranq pistol's range, the slow reactions of the AI... not really a problem.

The only boss I found somewhat more difficult tranqing was Laughing Octopus' beast form, since nothing seemed to do that much damage. Crying Wolf's was a sloooow process, too - no consistent way of avoiding detection other than crawling under the truck, but the Mosin Nagant kept drawing the Frogs given you can't fit it with a suppressor. Overall it wasn't as hard as I thought - I went blundering into more than a few rooms the first time and made it much harder than it needed to be - though there were a few tense moments every now and then.

By Gun del Sol I mean Solar Gun, yes, sorry. That's just what it's called in Boktai.

And I went for the Assassin emblem with stealth camo on, so no, not especially difficult. Lots and lots and lots of throat-slitting. Shame the outfit doesn't really do anything, but it does look good.
