    Cool, will take a look.

I've heard great things about this game, but can't play it right now because my Xbox 360 is away for repairs.

I'm pretty much stuck with all the really fiddily ones now where I think I'm doing the right thing but can't quite do something fast enough. Grr.

I had to stop playing it as the intense thinking nearly made me have a fit so had to bench it

I'm doing one now that I think is World 3 (can't check cos I'll lose where I am). On the far left is a firepit with a cannon above it spitting out those brown faces who walk to the right of the platform they land on then turn around and fall into the fire. There's a jigsaw piece under the cannon. Now I've been

trying to bounce on the enemy that falls into the fire right before it dies but this hasn't worked, I've also been trying to bounce on the one leaving the cannon and then the one falling into the fire for extra momentum but this also hasn't worked. I thought maybe you need to use the bunny (I hate those bloody things and why do they sound like cats?) and in a moment of bunny bouncing mayhem I ended up on top of the canon (this is why I don't want to quit the level - I will NEVER get there again) so I'm seeing if this puts me in a better position to jump on stuff. So far I'm jumping too high to get over.

Now another query is there's a glowing green panel next to the firepit which makes me think I'm supposed to get it down somehow so I can stand on it and get the best jump angle. But I see no lever anywhere at all, I even went underground and did the keys and doors stuff again just to check.

Don't really want any answers handed out, just fancy discussing some puzzles.

In other news, just now I managed to solve one by

using the fast rewind/forward - I thought that was there so you didn't get bored!! awesome

            Here's a clue -

forget the jumping on beasties. I tried that for ages, doesn't work. Concentrate on that green rectangle going upwards - if it beats the one going sideways it will block it. TBH I've no idea how I did it, but it involved moving my arse quickly at the beginning and a bit of jumping.

I never even saw that going on on entering the level, I should have looked for it since it's not the first panel I've seen move at the start. Gonna have to think about that for a bit now, tried some bouts of quickly rewinding and speeding up but that doesn't seem to be helping

Wow, what a great little game. I don't know why it's as expensive as it is when a sure thing like Geometry Wars 2 can be 800 points, but I don't have any complaints now that I've bought it. I love all the little touches, particularly the homages to Mario.

I've run through every level so far and finished off the first two worlds so far. Just went back to some easy ones that I missed in my tired state last night, and I reckon some of the later pieces will be absolutely mind-bending to get when I return to them.

Nice to have a good old fashioned puzzle-platformer again

Can anyone tell me if it's possible to kill a monster without taking the key it carries?

EDIT: Nevermind, yes you can. No it wasn't useful.

60th piece GET! I found this an utter delight from start to finish. Well, I say "finish" but of course there are still the other secret things to get.

This is melting my brain! I'm trying to browse the web straight after playing it and I can't click the back button without thinking that everything around me is going to rewind! aRRRRRRRGh

Ooo I did it but I don't actually understand how?

I just jumped up and down a lot on entering the level and for some reason it made the glowing green panel move up slower so the platform could beat it out. I have no idea why this worked?

                            On Irreversible

you'll notice that the platform going up is glowing green, so isn't affected by time. The normal course of events of the level takes the horizontal platform past the vertical one - the only way it gets blocked in is if you rewind time, because the horizontal platform is affected by time and goes back, and the green one carries on forward at all times - blocking it in! So you can see you'd solve it without knowing why, but it makes sense!

But that's not what happens! It would have been a lot simpler if it was.

The green vertical platform blocks the horizontal one and of course no time manipulation can help. What slowed it down was jumping around underneath but I've no idea why it did it, maybe it's killing stuff? Maybe just the jumping?

While I was trying to figure it out earlier in a moment of madness I rewound and then sped up time really fast thinking the horizontal platform might smash through the green one Sounds silly but then I could have easily said the same thing about the world 2 one had it not been the answer.

I'm noticing a trend: all the ones I've accused of being really fiddily are where I've been doing the wrong thing. Shame my stubborness had me spend more time on them than I should have

One of those is the 2nd part of Phase on world 6 where you have clouds coming out of the cannons. I did the first one

by slowing down the cannon with the ring so they all gather up closer. This doesn't work on the 2nd one as a new cloud is triggered by the first hidding the platform. I've managed to slow it's disintergration a bit by putting the ring there and very almost get to jump to the next one but if this isn't working I'm thinking it's not the answer. And there's a whole platform above all this that I don't seem to need for anything.

I was going to pop up to the club I work at tonight for a bit but after this game I think I might attempt to jump off the stage, rewind myself and then wonder why my shadow doesn't carry on. Bed time I think!
