This game is pretty legend, serious PS3 killer app.

I thought regarding the DRM you had to keep the account regardless, 'locked' referring to any account on that system being able to play it.

Same, I think it comes from playing Mario Kart Wii on a Gamecube pad and the tricks being on the d-pad. That's my excuse anyway...

Man just finished like a 6 hour session. Didnt even see the time. I have not been hooked this much since Rock Band.

So tell me honestly WHY isnt this a full release? Was it to show of PSN or something? Because if Sony would of released this in stores it would of made a killing and im sure boosted PS3 sales. In fact why are Sony NOT bundling this in? Buy a PS3 and Wipeout HD is already installed on the HDD? There crazy for not doing that, because honestly this is so far for me the game of the year. I have not played a game that looks sounds and plays better (except RB, but that is an 07 game). C'mon Sony bundle them up and watch the PS3's fly off the shelf.

Yeah I've always thought that but I've not had any issues with it in actual racing in this. Tried analog for barrel rolls last night and found it just doesn't work well. Wish I could though as sometimes when you reach for the D-Pad you don't make it back to analog on time and crash into the side. Stops me from doing rolls on alot of sections, pity it didn't work better with analog. But I suppose it's supposed to be hard & risky, not easy to pull them off.

Surprised how smooth this was online last night, very solid. Can see it getting really competitive

Yeah in the past when i visited my brother-in-law, i downloaded some of my PSN games on his machine. We then played them under his account but when i deleted my account from his machine at the end of the evening, the games could no longer be played.

Anyway with regards the actual game, I've enjoyed my one evening with it so far, but i'm waiting until the friends-bug patch comes before i can go online under my account. I take it there isn't an update yet.

Anyone else have trouble with the online scoreboards not updating for you? I just got 7th in the world on Sebenco Climb Venom Time Trial but scoreboard hasn't updated after 5 minutes. Go back to check one from last night, I was 12th for Metropia Flash Speed Lap and thats still not updated. But when I check my Personal score it's correct but not on the Global list! WHY!?

I think the scoreboards are way behind. It will update, but there is quite a delay at the moment (and it varies so hard to say when your score will appear). I think it's something they are working on.

indeed. you don't need to play them under his account even, but merely keep the account on the system, if you delete it, the games lose the owner, and will not run. some games DO require you to run under the account of the user that bought it, warhawk is one example.

Well, what can I say about this game? I could write a short ?wow it?s awesome? but I think this game, like an attractive woman, needs more attention than that. In fact, it demands it.
Right from the get go this game is incredibly well presented and it?s almost strange to think that it?s something that?s been downloaded (take Gran Turismo HD for an example of what not to do). The menu screens are nice and clean and don?t suffer from the annoying ?where the hell do I go to switch that off? feeling, and the music and computer voice blend very well.
Moving to the select screens and again it?s a nice and crisp, and you are met with the first hint of game graphics with the craft selections. At first glance I thought it was just a very sharp picture of the ships, but behold, they and fully 3D and can be panned around which made my eyebrows shoot up. But then the game loaded and kicked in?and what I mean by that is it kicked me in the face with a graphical wingtip shoe.
Before I was even playing the game I was smiling at the beauty of it. Videos of this game do it no justice; it has to be seen on a HDTV for your eyes to take it all in. In my opinion its one of, if not thee, most attractive next gen game to date. It looks almost animated in its texture but there is nothing that doesn?t look solid enough to want to reach out and touch. Everything from the ships to the backgrounds to the thrusters looks good enough to eat.
So what?s it like to play? I think it?s looser than the wipeout?s on the PSP to play. The ships don?t take much to weave them round the track, but that doesn?t make you feel detached from it. The dualshock 3 and/or the sixaxis have lighter analogue sticks to the 360 and some say that?s a bad thing, I?m guilty of saying that myself, but for this game it works and I think the developers have taken that into account. Couple that with the added game dynamics of the ?double press of the air brake strafe? and the driver aid and it?s got to be the most solid wipeout game yet.
I won?t whiter on too long because frankly I want to go and play more.

Over all, it looks good and plays like a wipeout game should and the only thing it?s lacking is that gorgeous metal tin I saw on here and a disk. If Sony doesn?t release this to buy in the shops they are insane.
                        10/10

I got a good rip on this over the w/e and its very impressive - nicely crafted presentation with a great soundtrack/lovely graphics and nice and smooth (only a fraction of screen tearing in 1080p whenthe action gets hot). The zone levels are really intense after Lv20 and for me its a cross between the psp wipeouts with elements of fusion.

However it does get rather samey after a few hours of play and i dont like the tracks as much as fusion. I dont know whether or not its quite as 'amazing' as a lot of people are making out though. nice for £11.99.

Yes, for its price, it's good. It is pretty much just Pulse though. Albeit with prettier textures, a gorgeous front-end and less content. But an abridged big-screen 60fps Pulse isn't a bad thing.
