Nah it's not just you guys, it's pretty crappy. I felt like I got through it by pure luck on my third go (Wonder how much harder it gets on Insane ). But since it's such a small section of the game (literally a minute or 2?) it's not the end of the world

You have to do it for a 2nd time. Lets just say you won't be shooting tiny bits of debris. It's alot easier.

Theres some other minigames in there, a shooting gallery and a zero-g basketball arena. Both very easy and optional.

Is the second time as difficult/crappy? Or is it more fun, I hope so, I'm assuming it's used for a boss fight

        Leviathan

        ?...

No where near. I had problems with the first time, i only narrowingly did it on my 2nd attempt. As for your other question...

Yes i think its leviathan. When i say think is because it takes place after you kill him. I think it was the remaining part of him. You need to do it for a certain reason for the plot. So i won't say anymore.

              I didn't really mind the
sections, the first one took two attempts and the second one took just the one attempt. The one with the

              Leviathan

is also way easier than the one with the

              asteroids

              .

On chapter 9 now (still taking it slowly, alternationg between this and Fable) and am still absolutely loving this game. Loved the section where you have to

plant the beacon on the asteroid

, done superbly in my opinion. Also quite enjoyed doing the

"puzzle" to get the communications up and running again

, simple but, again, very well done.

Only had the one boss fight so far and that was with the

              Leviathan

, was quite simple once I knew what to do but it was still immensely enjoyable. Loved the way you could

catch the exploding rocks and chuck it back into its mouth!

At the start I didn't know how to

dodge the tentacles but by luck I figured out I had to jump across to the other side to avoid them!

I really do not want this game to end but alas it will have to, in a few more chapters I think. The pacing, atmosphere and tension have been superb throughout, if this is kept up for the remaining chapters this could well be one of my favourite games of the year.

It keeps it right up almost to the end. If the ending wasn't a huge and predictable cliche it would have been steller.

I can't even kill you-know-who the first time. The most I can get is six loads of ammo (for the Plasma Cutter, which I've more or less maxed out) and that's simply not enough; the final form will. Not. Die. I've just tried about fifteen times and I can't use the kinesis on anything, whether because I haven't upgraded it or I'm just **** I've no idea. The tiny window of opportunity simply does not give me time to land, aim, grab, aim again and then fire again. Jesus Christ Insane would have me cutting myself.

I bought this on Sunday and it's absolutely supreme! Not a word I use often but the whole game is so finely tuned and polished. I think it's the most beautiful game i've played all year.

The camera, the interface and the controls all feel so organic when playing it's almost as immersive as a first person scare 'em up. Halfway through chapter 2 and I am wetting myself with every encounter, love it!

Hats off to EA for allowing a new IP to be so finely produced. My jawdropped at the intro.. this years Bioshock indeed!

I couldn't agree with that more. The game popped through my letterbox on Saturday morning and I'm roughly at the same point (I guess! Mid-Chap2
                      ..).

Took me a few moments to get to grips with the controls and having to "read the HUD" from a different location, but now it just seems so natural.

As a consequence of reading so many comments on here about how you HAVE to have 5.1 to fully appreciate the sound, I finally decided to plump for some decent headphones, so I'm putting this on hold until they arrive. Can't wait!

Do the Nodes become more bountiful further into the game? I've been going off route to try and pick up as much stuff as possible but they seem pretty scarce for the amount you need to upgrade weapons. I have been trading them to get into locked rooms though, maybe I need to just focus on my gun upgrades...?

Also its a real test sometimes to walk down a corridor when your route guide is pointing in the other direction in the hope of finding some goodies - creeping along checking all the vents then running like fook back

I havent had that much trouble finding nodes, ive upgraded my plasma cutter almost fully, my rig half way and quite a bit of my pulse rifle.

Remember, if you cant find enough Nodes lying around you can get them from the shop too, which is probabaly where ive got about half of mine from.

Just completed this and the last battle was pretty epic but I was disapointed with the ending of the game.

                            At the end you are

Attacked by who I think was your zombiefied girlfriend and the game cuts to the credits, this dosent really make sense as I didnt realise there were zombies in the game... Or did I miss somthing?

Overall though an absolubtley brilliant game though.

                              Ending Spoiler:

The things you were fighting are zombies, they are the reanimated dead they just spout out new limbs and whatnot.
The ending was a joke imo, a huge cliche and when you finally see Isaac's face you feel dissapointed. I would have preferred to not have seen his face to be honest. You knew what was coming when he was revealed. To top it off the character went through all that trouble to just die at the end. It was cheap and predictable.

My main criticism of the game is Isaac himself, they went with the Gordon Freeman approach but it came off as a bit of a robot walking through the halls. He has no emotional response to anything that happens in front of him. It took me out of it you know. It works with Gordon Freeman because it is seen through his eyes, whereas in Dead Space you the player are on the outside looking in.

I can just overlook that. As i had immense fun playing it and enjoyed it for its story, graphic design and atmosphere.

If you pan the camera around in the very first scene of the game you see issacs face before he puts his helmet on. Also

They didnt show that the character died, though I agree the ending was a cop out in general, but they could easily keep him alive if they were to make a sequel that explains how he escaped some how, or even starts from the very moment this one ends. Though I suppose the developers wouldnt want that as it would alienate people who havent played the first game.

Also they arent zombies they are necromorphs, theres a difference . It didnt make sense that she wasnt all necromorphified.

And Yeah I agree, he should talk, it is a bit odd that he dosent.
