I am not the biggest Zapper fan, but have to admit it works well with this.

Yep, i just tried it out with the zapper too - feels really nice actually. However there's something more satisfying about the hand cannon... It just looks so much cooler.

I'm on the 4th stage now, but before i venture any further i'm going back to get some points - want to upgrade and purchase new weapons!

Really like how there is so much unlockable content...

Add my vote - hugely impressed. It's way too easy, at least on the first three stages, and it's clearly pushing the Wii to do a lot more than it can comfortably handle, but other than that this is excellent, excellent stuff. Polished, beautifully tongue-in-cheek, shamelessly, gleefully ripping off everything under the sun (love the Shaw Bros. take-off logo at the start) and frequently very, very funny. Love it.

The hand cannon is certainly unbalanced and leads to nagging wrist strain after a long period of sustained play... but it still rocks. Can't wait to unlock dual wield.

Bought the Collector's Edition from my local GAME earlier this lunchtime.

I've been looking forward to this for a while, and I have to agree with the majority on here - this game rocks! Whilst I don't care so much for the actual in-game graphics, the B-Movie themed presentation, hilarious dialogue (especially the banter between Agent G & Detective Washington), fast-paced action and sheer amount of unlockables more than make up for it. Only had a short play through on it and got to the level 2 boss, but will get into much more later.

Been playing it with the Wii Remote, and it works fine. I think that shaking the remote to reload (optional - can also press A) is a nice touch and I can see just how it would work with either the Hand Cannon or another light gun shell like the Nyko Perfect Shot. That said, like a fool, I passed up the opportunity to buy the Hand Cannon for £9.99 upon purchasing the game as I already had a 3rd-party shell that a friend got me as a birthday gift last year. I got home only to find that it wasn't suitable at all for this game (used the Z button on the Nunchuk as the trigger!!). Annoying, but not so bad as the Wii Remote works fine enough by itself.

BTW, Play.com are selling the Hand Cannon for £9.99 with free delivery and shipping within 24 hours. I have just ordered one to hopefully arrive tomorrow or on Monday morning at the latest.

Finished the game last night. It's quite easy to blast through first time round, the only time I really felt challenged was on the final boss. I'm keen to see how the Director's Cut mode works out, hopefully it will add a bit more pacing. Has anyone played through it yet? Does it add much? I think I'll hold off playing it until the Hand Cannon arrives.

It's a shame the Highscores table isn't online as there is plenty of room to work on decent scores. I only managed to get a Goregasm once through the whole run and even then it didn't last very long. Comboing a whole level should be quite a feat, especially the later levels where killing the zombies isn't as straight forward.

            But damn the ending is

            seriously screwy

            .

I really felt sorry for Varla. I honestly can't think of a worst fate than being left as a live brain in a jar. Seriously, death would be a better option.

And the Warden, whom, pleading that he wants to atone for his sins then walks into his giant mutanted mother's vagina ? ? ? I'd love to have been in the meeting where the game designers decided that was the best way to kill off the bad guy.

Oh and the soundtrack is excellent. The Critics Choice track that plays when you first fire up the game sets the tone for everything that follows immediately.

I've been giving the mini-games a bit of a go, bloody good fun to say the least. It's a nice touch that up to 4 people can join in on them - can see some potential for some drinking games already. The target-shooting mini-game is surprisingly tricky towards th end and going against the clock to kill as many beasties as possible is always good fun. Like you say though mate, its a shame there's no online scoring system...

It feels really nice unlocking more of the weapons... and powering up the guns means it even easier to create a gloriously gory mess. I also think it is a nice touch how blood actually splatters against the walls and stains it. Gotta agree ive been enjoying the banta between the two chaps, had me chuckling on a few occasions.

Good to see a trailer for Madworld within here too, seeing that beauty of a game on the full screen has made me want that even more :-)

Bought this and the Hand Cannon from Gamestation. Can't go wrong for £7.50 for the gun, it feels really nice in the hand. Can't wait to get stuck into it later.

Whilst the graphics are obviously still Gamecube 1.5 or whatever to some degree, they're also a lot better than I was expecting, despite the framerate problems and other glitches. Some really nice lighting in places and the fire effects on the third level are far from the ghastly mess they could have been. It's a far more visually impressive game than several recent (supposedly) next-gen efforts.

It can look a bit ropey at times though - but then in other places, particularly stage 3, there's an awful lot to give credit to. It's by no means the best looker on the wii, but a commendable effort all the same. It's the overall quality that does it - from the slick menu screens, awesome music, great amount of content, spot-on voice talent and the frequent humour.

Also.. although there are lots of clones running around, i've been really impressed by the zombies - oh, sorry, mutants - style and overall look. Some of them look bloody scary! I have to admit that i've been a bit let down by the bosses though (aside the 2nd, they're just not very interesting - esp compared to Resident Evil UC) - but everything else get my thumbs up. Really is very good.

                      No.

                      Can I have a lollipop?

                      Yes."

I was just sat here browsing the menu's and a song started playing about a guy singing to his son of how he wanted to screw a zombie Looks like it's the album version of "One Night In Bayou".

Finished my first playthrough earlier and I love what I've played so far, can't wait to get stuck into the director's cut. I only realised a few chapters in that there's an option to increase the amount of "mutants" before you begin each chapter, still couldn't get any more than a +3 multiplier though. It also has the distinction of being one of very few games I've laughed out loud playing, particularly towards the end of the final chapter.

I've read a few things about the end... but am not too sure if i should believe what i've read....? By the sounds of it... it may very well be true, if so... ha! total class.

Agreed. I feel that this element of Overkill is crucial if you want to be getting those kill multiplier bonus chains into the x4, x5 & Goregasm territory. IMO, the standard Shotgun is an absolute BEAST when it is powered up, capable of taking out most zombies in one gloriously bloody shot (and in some cases, even taking out those that are behind your original target, it's that powerful). Having now completed the standard story mode, I've just spent a little more time replaying most of the levels to unlock more content. I feel pretty confident that I can reach Goregasm Bonus and stay there consistently.

That said, I haven't started the Director's Cut yet. I'm waiting for my Hand Cannon to arrive from Play.com before I attempt that!
