Not played Resi 5 yet. I'm planning on picking up the Gold Edition when it drops next month. Will be looking for a partner

Resident Evil is getting a reboot (no more umbrella) and there's REortable to look forward to.

Wouldn't surprise me with REP if they did a full prequel covering Umbrella's founding.

Pretty sure this will be the regular game with DLC codes at least on 360 anyway. Would make sense to pick up a cheap standard copy unless there is something else given the price these days.

How good is this new DLC? Tempted to rebuy it if it's *that* good?

            Ripped from Eurogamer

Yet more amazing internet detectives have uncovered an alternative camera mode for the recently released Lost in Nightmares DLC for Resident Evil 5. In order to unlock the new camera mode, which frames the action in a similar fashion to the mansion-based originals, all you need to do is talk to the front door a few times until it says "?" instead of the usual investigation prompt (thanks Kotaku). Lost in Nightmares is out now for PSN and Xbox Live and puts you in control of Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine in a puzzly, extended version of events leading up to one of Resident Evil 5's flashback cut-scenes. We thought it was amazing, handing down a whopping 9/10 in this week's review. Lost in Nightmares costs £3.99 / 4.99 on PSN or 400 Microsoft Points (£3.40 / 4.80) on Xbox Live.

Just played about 30 minutes on this just solo so far, tried both new and old views, this is dripping in atmosphere and tension right from the start and ive had more scares in the first 10 minutes of this than the whole of RE5, it must be that mansion its bloody scary and just great for scares, put me down for some new-old-school REmakes of 4 and anything else, Capcom back on form, Buy It.
Jebus its well worth the money, Eurogamer gave it 9/10 it is just that good bloody awesome in fact.

Just ordered Biohazard Alternative which is cheaper than RE5+DLC or the EU RE5 Gold. I take it that the Blu Ray disc does contain the DLC?

I'm actually only looking forward to LiN. The 2nd DLC sounds a lot RE5 ish and I didn't really enjoy the main game.

Has anybody else had difficulty restarting from a checkpoint? I got about 30 minutes in, had to quit and clearly saw it say "Saving content", then when I tried to continue later on, it started from the very beginning again!

I've heard it has to be played in one sitting.

They could have at least thrown in old style type writers and ink ribbons

Well I rebought Resi 5 yesterday, downloaded the DLC only to realise my save game is on the HDD I sold a mate, hopefully you don't need a save game to start the DLC, if I do then I'll have to borrow his HDD!

You'll be pleased to know you don't need a prior save. Just be aware that if you quit out before finishing the DLC you'll have to start again from the beginning.

Yup, just played a few minutes to "test" it, used the old camera too for a laugh.

                              Superb, absolutely superb. Love the
moment, was like they were making fun of themselves and the player!

Shame you can't save though as it'd be lovely to play this co-op with someone!
