Dunno if it has been mentioned, but my mate told me that Assassins Creed is part of a trilogy, so im guessing the criticism made so far will be looked into.
I understand where peeps are coming from with teh frustration element, but the game is fun in small doses and i hafta say it is probably teh best looking game of last year in terms of graphical immersion.

Finally clocked this last night and gotta say I thoroughly enjoyed it.
I totally appreciate the repetitive nature of the side quests and they did put me off intially but for some reason I got completely obsessed by them. Ended up doing all the viewpoints/pickpocketing/eavesdropping etc in the end. Only things I didn't complete were the Templars and flags and I'm buggered if I'm gonna go back to finish them off.
Anyway, back to the game, really enjoyed the setting and like many feel they laid the groundwork for the next few very well. Great atmosphere an dalso really liked the audio.
Look fwd to seeing what they'll do next with the ip (more variety needed).
Any suggestions on the next time period to cover...? I'd like to see more King action in the middle ages, say Henry VIII and suchlike. And also in the 1950's for some bizarre reason.

The story line goes deep. very deep if your aware of illuminati, Ancient civilisations like atlantis/Mu, Mayan Calander prophecies and such.
I reckon the next time line will be current date, or if its a triology then maybe the end part will be. It has to be and you will be taken in by the Assasins and have to take down certain heads of coperations, churches etc etc.

Ooh good choice, though maybe a bit Onimusha...?
Quick qu...
what were all the glowing points on the globe right after you'd killed the last geezer? Were they the locations of other 'Pieces Of Eden', as in more of those globes...? I thought they said earlier there were nine pieces of eden so how come there are loads now...?
Or am I getting confused...lol...?Last edited by Len; 11-01-2008, 14:14.

I have to say that I've given up on it after just two assassinations.
It's been a long while since I've felt that I simply couldn't be arsed to continue with a game for no reason other than boredom. Usually it's for reasons of difficulty, my own lack of skills or some technical issue.
It's a great shame too because I have a great interest in the setting and the themes and ideas the game is said to explore later on. I just don't feel motivated to reach that stage.

The email looks like a normal email expect some words are in Caps. Put those words together and you get Web Ether. Nothing to do with the game (as yet) but I have heard other things about it.

Out of interest, but has anyone playing the PS3 version come across a pretty serious memory leak? I first discovered it during my final return to Masayef after correctly predicting that
Al Muyalim would turn traitor, even before Robert's revelation. Just before I entered the fortress, and the possessed guards attacked me, my fps would be no higher than 10 - once I'd killed them off and headed into the courtyard, pushing past all of the possessed citizens it was no higher than 5. At first I thought it was just a slow motion effect, intended to add drama, but it was too uncomfortable for that. Now that I've killed Al Muyalim and returned to the Animus, the game plays alot slower than it did.
Anyone know wtf is going on?
Edit: Yes, this is pre patch, I'd downloaded it before even playing the game for the first time.Last edited by Daragon; 12-01-2008, 01:23.

Might be an engine thing as I had the same on the 360 but in a different part.
I'd gone back to the Assassins hideout in one of the cities and as soon as I walked in to the room where you have a chat with the guy behind the counter, the frame rate dropped to a slide show.
I thought it would sort it when Altair rested finished chatting and it loaded the next bit, but it didn't. I had to restart the game in the end and it worked just fine.
