The lengthy load times for levels (upwards of five minutes at some points) is forgivable considering that once in game you can run from one end of Jerusalem to the other and from depths of the darkest alley to the tip-top of the highest building.

I'm just quoting the review. Also mentions a game-breaking amount of slowdown 2/3'rds of the way through.

Maybe somebody who owns the PS3 version could confirm ? All the posting seems to be 360 related in here.

Takes about 20-30 seconds tops on my 360 and thats being harsh

I'd say its much closer to 5 minutes on mine. Only seems to be an issue the first time I go into the game. Going between The Kingdom and other areas is around 30 seconds or so.

Definitely 5 minutes initially though (360 version).

I`ve played through teh 360 version twice now and the longest I`ve had to wait for a load is 30 seconds maximum.

It only takes Ages to load when you skip from one sity/town to the next. For example if i wanted to warp from masyaf to Acre.

For me i find that the game needs to crash at least once before it will play happily for the duration of my game sesh.

Its like it need to get it out its system before i can properly proceed through the game.

The loading times are nonsense for the PS3 version.

From initially booting up the PS3 to getting into the game takes no more than a couple of minutes and between areas it 30ish secs.

Had no massive framerate issues either. The only time you really notice abit of a dip is when you activate a viewing point and it pans around.

You might have a DVD drive on it's way out or something, the game 100% refused to boot on Family Fry's partially Dead console.

Enough of this thrilling seconds talk...

Started this the other day and really, really njoying it...now.

Was strange, I was very impressed in the first hour and then after the first city felt somewhat let down but now I'm onto my 4th assassination I feel like it just gets better and better. A slow burner maybe...?

Learning to use all the abilities correctly and basically just not rushing to the next kill, taking my time and meandering about doing a lot of the side quests.

Looks wonderful and what an atmosphere. Onwards we go...

Likewise... the biggest load I get is either when starting up a a city or moving between them and at the most it is about 30 seconds... then its just uninterrupted beauty. Seriously , how they managed to get the detail on this scale, with no loading and only the tinniest, miniscule hint of technical strain is unbelievable.
