It's more the fact I haven't used Steam for ages, and every time I do it changes something, which invariably ends up messing Source.

A mod has been released by a Japanese team, called SMOD.
This screen says it all:




Single player mod to the standard, which adds in loads more enemies, weapons and explotions. You get to use the "Stirder weapon" for instance. Coo. Plus you get bullet time ala FEAR.

i can imagine the frustration i've never had a problem with steam i love it personally anything that improves the ability to get other mods etc. is great by me

Got the XBOX version of this and am loving it.

The framerate is not too bad. Basically its really chugs whenever you enter a new area or straight after a load, however I just stand still for a few seconds and it gets back to around 30fps soon enough.

They reckon it'll be avaliable around 6pm our time. They have softened the blow a little by way of another teaser traler.

Megaaaa Bump!

Started playing this again after I came across my PC copy of the game. Didn't even need it though as you can download straight from Steam again.

Gonna download and install the FakeFactory mod which looks awesome considering the game is like 7 years old. Will really breathe new life into it.

It's a mamoth 10GB download and you must have HL2 + Ep1 + Ep2 installed so I just got them downloaded again today too. Installing the mod now eventually.
