I feel much the same way as concept and spatial about this game. Except I have managed to occupy myself with other games quite successfully. I had the same feeling of anticipation for HL1. HL1 delivered and then some. I hope HL2 can do the same.

I wonder if I order the retail version from gameplay will they deliver it to me on the thursday?(as they have done with a few of my pre-orders), thereby being able to play it a day earlier than even those who ordered it on steam

Its just dawned on me. I've got that week off work. Life is looking up

Yeah... Who'd have thought Halo 2 and Half-Life 2 being within 5 days of each other? It's going to be a mad week for the FPS market.

The nasty thing could be of course, Vivendi sending the game off to be released everywhere on Tuesday, and GAME et al delibrately holding back until the traditional Friday.

Still. For those of us who took the Steam downloading route this is all academic. We should be getting to play Half-Life 2 roughly on November 16 6am here in the UK (12am PST).

And yes, I will be up.

Can you imagine the countdown just before it's unlocked though? All this "immediately available content" stuff isn't bad for people lazy like myself.

Although come 6am/7am (I'm not sure if we're six or seven hours in front), I'm not returning to this thread until I've finished the game from start to finish.
