Ah~ See. I did spy that what you mentioned in your first point, but didn't think it would be worth the trouble of digging it out. Otherwise I did clear the area of enemies, and it was mainly when
the other Oniis started joining in
that things became a bit of a mess. Also, I thought I saw that while my soldiers are latched onto him, as they fall off they lose health? Can't be too sure on that, but I'm sure a couple have died just from falling off him as they latched on to attack (and the king wasn't attacking).

is that no matter how many farmers i chucked at the spring it just didn't appear. I got the animation that it had been dug up but nothing happened a reload didn't solve this either making it pretty hard to beat him without casualties.
apart from this minor bug I'm loving the game there just seems to be so much to explore at the moment and i have a massive amount of quests available to me now. I'm getting my arse kicked on 3 star quests so i haven't even attempt the 5 star ones I'm being offered.
anyone else noticed that on the first few logo screens there is a red tab with two yellow dots on it overlayed on the screen, anyone know what this is for its very strange that its there?
also where can i get myself some miners them big rocks are doing my head in.

Phew!
Even after 50hours of gameplay I managed to uncover a previously unexplored area yet was ambushed by hordes of the undead that leave a nasty puddle of purple-poison as their corpse disintegrates. They managed to kill 13 of my dudes and I couldn't just reset because I had achieved a fair bit before I got slaughtered (even filling the Uni book and almost, so very almost, all the art pieces)
However! They all ended up being washed ashore the next morning! Aha! It's amazing how attached you get to the little buggers :-)

Edit: I just realised, only one of the cracks seems to open up (there are more than one). For me, it was the top right one.Last edited by Stormtec; 12-05-2009, 16:22.

Finished this last night....or rather I saw the credits roll but there was still mountains of stuff to do. The last boss is an absolute chuff, but the ending scenario itself is majestic. Epic stuff.
A word of warning (and I don't think this is a spoiler)...Be sure to do all the side-quests and stuff before heading off to the last boss...It's not one of those games that let's you continue playing in the game world after the story's done and dusted. Which is odd and slightly irritating given the wealth of collectables and side-missions.
Still, it's a wonderful game...and I'll no doubt go back and finish more of it soon. Not once did it become dull or run out of ideas...which is impressive for a game that lasts at least 30 hours.
Actually, wondering if anyone can help me find the Ice Dragon. I know it's
something to do with the giant ice crystal just outside my kingdom. But I've thrown all my guards at it and still nothing
So...yeah...Game Of The Year stuff for me.

Really pleased you enjoyed it dude. I'm at the stage where I can venture to the last boss but I've decided to do everything else first - this is the first game for a long time where I'm so keen to achieve 100% completion just because I don't want the magic to end. I've clocked well over fifty hours and still a fair bit to do. Love it!
As for your above Q. It's just a matter of using the right man for the job mate :-)

Just to add...
I didn't think anything this game could throw at me at this late stage could leave me wow'd but - well, it did. The theatre seemed pretty useless, but mark my words there's something very special indeed in store. It;s called: 'Swimming Pool' - but i'll say no more except I'm actually still in shock of how incredibly awesome it was!
