I don't know if I have time to play this at the moment, but I feel like rushing out and buying it just to support the development of AAA games on the Wii

i did him yesterday, i had a nice balanced posse of 4 soldiers, 2 hunters, couple of lumberjacks, couple farmers and some carpenters in order to get there, I also used the spa and pots to ensure everybody was healthy before the big push. I ignored the god advice about using the arrows and just watched the attack pattern and went for him when he seemed a bit dazed, didn't bother with the little fellas lobbing stuff down, just avoided it. did him first go at the cost of only one chap.

saw this today in the tesco wii chart at number two going for £24.97, its has to be worth that, best game this year so far by a mile for me, and I actually don't like RTS games (Halo Wars for example) but this doesn't feel like one.

            Where is the spar?

To beat the king i just took my 11 best attackers. I was carefull when to deploy them and made sure the 4 protecting the king were taken out one at a time setting 4 on them each. Once they were gone i sent all 11 to the king.

            Easy enough.

the little hot tub things you can dig up from certain cracks in the floor that give back health, there is one right near your village and then I found a second just before you get to the first other King

I'm finding my OCD tendency to explore every pot and crack pays off in this !

It's great how the castle gets increasingly bigger too, the whole thing looks quite impressively grand now. Lots of areas to put up my collected artwork too (plus a fun little table tennis mini-game)

Oh, and the music is just beautiful.... love it, love it, love it!

anybody know what the flower hats do ? its a right pain as i sent some chaps in there by accident and they now have flowers on their heads and its hard to see what they are.

its a total time sink too, i spent 90mins today again not really advancing the main game, just doing simple little side quests and buying some new formations, collecting artwork etc.

last game i felt such magical love for was Mario galaxy, this has future cult classic written all over it

Agree mate, absolutely feel the same.

I've like you been spending a lot of time just exploring and doing this and that - nothing to advance the main game, yet it still feels like i've been experiencing and achieving and discovering so much...

The thirty plus hours i'v spent with Little King's Story has been some of the best time spent with a videogame for a long time... and to think there's still half the map unexplored is quite amazing. I agree this has a similar air of magic as Mario Galaxy... and much like Nintendo's modern classic, this will leave a strong lasting impression.

To anyone who hasn't got this yet, there's really no excuses why this beautifully crafted gem shouldn't be in your collection. More people need to play this game!

i was reading about them, the devs ran a competition for people to design creatures for the games, several winners are in there and the best runners up are the works of art - another lovely touch.

so anybody - do you know what the flower hats do - the house doesn't tell you and its not in the Liam tutorials at all.

Yeah, was wondering about the artworks you can collect. Alot of them have a kids drawing quality to them, thought that was just the style they were going for! Great stuff though.

As for the Flower hats, I dunno sorry. Are they an item you equip to your team? If so I think you can see descriptions of what each item does in the treasure room list.

Love some of the boss battles...I came up against the most in-your-face Pikmin design so far last night.

                              A great big ruddy beetle

...what impressed me though, was that the games method of beating it was totally it's own. It borrows alot of stuff from other games, but totally has it's own identity.

Love that intoduction movie, superb watercolour visuals
