Ah I see. I will be trying out other characters though so I might switch from him yet. I had a couple of player matches online, got beaten (obviously) but did do surprisingly well. The guy who I played messaged me after to say "good game, well done", which was a nice surprise.

Think i may main arakune i like playing as him i feel he has a nice set of moves and plus he is damn fun and the move look as funny as hell

Oh no, nothing like that. I can assure you if I don't get on with another character I will revert back to Jin.

yeah , i agree infact, theres always threads on dustloop and SRK.com about ragequitters and stuff, but frankly i have never experianced it or abuse mail, granted im generally the player whos in the position of sending abuse mail but anyway

Any tips for pulling of Jin's Astral finish on a stick? I can't nail that 720 movement at the moment, when I try another move comes off by accident. lol.

I think buffering into a jump is the usual way to do 720s.

Just throw-cancel the move, as soon as you grab them input the 720+d(or whatever it is), jin will cancel the throw and perform the AH

I cant get it to work from a standing position, just end up jumping about too

I just had a couple of online ranked matches, one was a bit laggy but the other one was ok. I lost the first one (was close) but won the second one. I know I only got this yesterday but I am really enjoying it. Even when I lose, I am having fun and learning just that bit more about the game. Quality game!

Damn i can't pull off Astral finish or the other special move's on a D pad , the only way i can is to set the controls to pre set the pad so that i press one button to pull them off

Personally I wouldn't worry too much about getting the Astral finishes down, chances are if a game comes down to the third round you don't want to be holding on to your distortion and risking it all on one shot unless you're feeling really cocky. That being said, I was mucking around with Ragna in a player match yesterday and was trying to remember the command for his Carnage Scissors; ended up doing his Astral as a perfectly timed (read: fluke) counter

Have done my 200 ranked matches now, and just working on the player ones now for the final achievement - ended up at level 41 with a 55% win ratio - could've been higher but I am a sucker for punishment and will always be seeking out the higher levelled guys. Really feeling that I need to learn a second character properly though, my Tager is now considerably stronger than my Jin has ever been.

This is serious GOTY material for me, I've loved every minute I've spent with it and there's clearly going to be many more of them to come. Hoping to get some people together for an offline session on it tomorrow night, should be awesome.

v-13 needs a nerf, i cant stand the same combo win bull**** and whats worse is its my fault for being to **** to actualy beat it

dont know if i cba with beat um ups anymore, think ill just go back to being on top in some random fps

i dont have the patience for it all
