It doesn't use any heat meter and it should be easy to pull off, however no human opponet won't do a quick recovery or a roll while Nu "loads" the fC and dfC attacks...oh well.
No its not.

If you don't get the trophy in training, your combo isn't legit. Set dummy on tech escapes and aerial recoveries, then try to make 60 hits.

I see...I prefer to try it against a "proper" CPU enemy, like in arcade or in story mode rather than training, even with recoveries on.

Failing those settings, if you make sure the combo counter stays bright red (i.e. doesn't fade) then you're good for the achievement too.

Tried score attack again last night, and once again, failed miserably at taking down Unlimited Ragna. Managed one round against the b!£$!£d.

Agreed, if I get the right time of day I can get of the best 5 players maybe even 2nd place.Later in the day I don't even register on the top 5.

However if you play about 1am you start to get back to easy games.

It seems that the player summary you see in the ranked match lobby is not always correct. I was sitting at level 25 and a guy was in the list at level 24, name xHDx, so I challenged him.

He had chosen Noel, who I eat for breakfast as Tager, so I got straight down to business and took the first round easily, then in the 2nd round I got him in the corner and just totally wailed on him.. throwing from left to right and back again, smacking him about merrily - picked up my first online perfect

Then on the results screen he shows up as being level 1, and I only earn like 50 points ><

I was going to send him a PSN message to apologise and explain the error but I got challenged before i could.. I feel like a dick

I'm on it all the time but that's when you lot are asleep, I'm gonna go on in an hour or so when I wake up a bit more if anyone happens to be pulling an all-nighter.

update -

I just had some awesome ranked matches that took me up to level 30 and got the trophy, despite getting paired up against quite a few higher level Jins & Ragnas (my worst nightmare!) I seemed to get lucky on a number of occasions. I can feel my Tager getting better all the time though... for example before i would just bash out projectiles and DDs randomly whenever I noticed they were available but today I was using my projectile to lead them into my DD range.. far more effective! I've got over 50% win ratio with him too so I think I'm finally getting the hang of things!

I'll start having a crack at the higher difficulty AI modes now, then possibly go back to player matches and start learning Taokaka again.

Usually online during evening, if weekends are rainy/too hot to go outside even afternoon. Living in Italy current time is GMT +2 so it's manageable.

Let's play people. I tend to alternate between Ragna, Jin and Litchi. I like how people may think Ragna/Jin are the Ryu/Ken of this game but even they are mildly difficult characters to get to grips with. It thankfully helps to set this game apart from being 'the next Guilty Gear' and a decent fighthing game in it's own right.

I've got the next 3 days off work so even if I'm playing something else bung me an invite and I'll come across.

Lets get a lobby going!

So, arcade mode on HELL difficulty - I was expecting to have some trouble with this but all I can say is I'm glad I chose to learn how to play in the online mode rather than versus the AI - it was pretty much a pushover when approaching it like an online fight. I did have to continue a few times (against Jin, Taokaka & Arakune) but also scored several perfect rounds and nobody really gave me particular trouble.

If anybody is debating whether to practice versus the AI or online, I strongly recommend going online!

Score Attack will be tougher I'm certain, since apparently you don't get continues ><

Come someone tell me some good points on the Barrier Bursts in this? They were well handy in GG, they might give you some legspace in this but it leaves you open for huge amounts of damage through the entire round.

It's good at the end of the round, when both opponents are low on health and someone locks you into a combo and you want to play a trump card to see if an all-out offensive can the tide. Never played GG too much, I guess Arc wanted to resize barrier burst usefulness to teach players to defend against combos rather than breaking them.

I suppose your right there. Just haven't had the experience of playing it online yet. Still haven't dedicated myself to a particular character.

I like Noel, but she seems a bit to button mashy for my liking. Even with her low sweep into her flip kick move into air combo special. I figured her character was based on Christian Bale's character from Equilibrium, she even does the same poses at the end of a fight.

Is it just me or is Haku-men the most unbalanced character in the game, hes the only one who can literally destroy me on single player. At least the last boss is easier to dodge than I-No.

EDIT: Does anyone have a link handy for the 8-bit soundtrack?
