Errr... rather you than me! I tend to avoid men in sleevless t-shirts, no matter how good they are at playing the fiddle.

For those still playing ranked matches...have you experienced increasing lag in the last few days? Tonight was almost impossible to play if not for a couple of matches, and even when there's no evident lag the controls aren't as responsive as they were before.

And now, for the series "is my joystick broken or I'm just stupid?", one of the few matches with no noticeable lag I faced a lvl 44 Nu. Nu VS Nu, I was prepared to lose big time but I won with a straight victory However...
I normally chose the standard color, probably my opponent does the same. He selects the character before me and we head straight into battle...right now I did not really paid attention if I was 1P or 2P, I was in "let me see how to handle Nu" mode.
And so two Nus descend from the sky, one standard color (me, I thought) and one red/yellow (aka the Eva 02 scheme). Match starts and I find myself totally overwhelmed, with the red/yellow Nu always close up and escaping my swords or strong attacks..."heck, this is worse that I thought" and then I magically realize that I'm the red/yellow Nu on the left side of the screen...winning.
'Stick's not broken, second option chosen.

Now I've unlocked the secret of winning, pretend that you are your opponent.

            Hitting the ceiling...ow, it hurts.

Blazblue is my first fighter I ever pursued I often say that I'm a bad player but after reaching lvl 40 I can't deny that I'm not that bad. Still a button masher but I know what buttons to mash.

After a couple of evenings getting perfect rounds or -gasp- perfect matches against players half my level I decided to ignore them in ranked matches; it gets frustrating to them and I won't progress.
Also, my morale won't hit the ground -hard- if someone beats me.

However things are getting frustrating for me, as most 40+ players are simply unreachable. The good thing is that the computer pairs me with a wider selection of characters instead of getting the usual string of Jin-Jin-Jin-Jin-Ragna-Jin-Jin-Jin-Noel-Jin-Jin-Jin-Jin I was used to.
When facing the AI with Nu, Tager is a pretty dumb opponent, while all Tagers I've met so far have been the best games I had: they hardly repeat the same combo over and over (something that Jin and Nu are guilty of) and they win without looking cheap (again, something that Jin and Nu are guilty of...Rachel too). Taokakas handled by skilled players just leave you in awe for their speed and Rachel can just corner you in an infinite number of ways...gotta hate George XIII the frog, even if it's not as bad as in unlimited mode.

Something I still have to understand is why Nu players avoid each other. Yesterday I had this incredibly good match against a lvl 41 and he won by a short margin; we met twice after that and he always refused to fight; an other Nu guy left the ranked room the moment I got his d-card; other Nu players use their sub-character when fighting me.

Oh, got trashed by a lvl 68 Nu, second ranking with her and among the best ten overall. Enlightening experience: I got into his combo and left the room to take a leak, when I got back he was still juggling me. Yay.

This was an early christmas present from my parents. Still got Deathsmiles and Mushihimesama for the day so I thought i'd get heavily into this while i've got the chance.

              Crikey. It's a bit good isn't it!

I jumped straight in at the deep end and started playing online. A few losses later and I realised this was seriously a bad idea. So I went into the training mode and arcade mode to get used to using Noel Vermillion. A few internet FAQs and combo tutorials later and i'm really, REALLY starting to get used to how to play the character properly.

I started off just mashing the stances and not doing very well, but now i'm really getting used to how to keep them up in the air, bounce them off the ground with her D, D+C move and carry it going. 23 wins, 28 losses online.

Not bad for the first day.

The netcode's a bit good aswell, very laggy in the introduction but when the game finally gets counted down it's smooth as butter. GGPO?

Glad you're enjoying this. It really is an enjoyable game and not since sf2 have i played a fighter with a truly individual roster.

This is something I hated about some online players, they didn't let the introduction run so that the consoles could synch themselves and you ended with that wheel of fate turning veeeery slowly.
Maybe it's time I get back into it.

I have this on the way to me and can't wait to play it, i'm only just stepping back in to current gen from being a PC-Engine and NEO addict, will i enjoy it as much as i'm hoping? (Garou MOTW is my favourite beater ever)

I'd say so. It's very fast paced and not actually as hard to learn combos for as I first thought it would be!

I want to see a massive player revival on this. There are still so many people playing it online, i've not failed to get into a match at all.

I didn't gel with the new streetfighter when i tried it on my nephews 360, but i lost interest after SF3 alpha, watching the vids on youtube this looks fantastically old school. Right or wrong?

I really want this... any ideas when the UK 360 release is?

(I'm pretty certain that the import versions are region locked, right?)

The 360 version is region locked, IIRC. It should be out in Europe in March, search for Continuum Shift in the Headlines sub-forums, I remember I posted some details ot the EU release.

If someone is selling a PS3 one, please let me know.

No updates from people who bought the pal version?

Recieved mine today, absolutly love the special edition. The artbook is just SEX. Would have been nice to have a soundtrack aswell though, would have gladly paid extra for it.

Its as good as it was when i played it last year, probably one of the best fighters out there. Absolutly gorgeous to boot.

Only problem i have, but it might be just me. The audio quality on the music, sounds low quality. Might just be me though. Think i remember the game not having dolby digital anyway on the ps3.
