Had a good long session with Largo there, another resounding victory for the net code!

Really amazing considering it was between Japan and the UK. With the voice chat on the go I'd have expected it to show some flaws with the synchronisation but nope, everything was spot on. Through the headset Largo would be reacting to stuff on my screen as it happened, and he didn't seem to have any delay in hearing me either.

I need to get my family to start playing Blazblue so I can talk to them that way, it was smoother than most of the phone calls I've made to the UK, and free!

good games mate, hope to fight you again some time soon.. don't brush up too much in the mean time lol

I just want to say again - this is awesome.

Played some games last night with Goemon and a Solvenian lad who came across my Gamertag on here looking for other European players, and t'was thoroughly enjoyable. Getting quite confident with Tager now, and thinking that it's about time to learn some other new characters - Hakumen is pretty high up this list. Tempted to learn Arakune even if just to give me a better idea how to play against him too

Wiki says that the game's title is a portmanteau of "Blaze" and "Blue" with the "z" sound committed from the Japanese pronunciation. The Japanese love to shorten and combine English words in this manner, thought I'd add =)

OK folks. I am seriously tempted to buy this, the fantastic visuals and outlandish combat just call out to me.

First off I am not a huge fighting game fan and I haven't played any of the games in the Guilty Gear series. Would it take ages for me to get into this and learn the basics?

I never played any Guilty gears but i love this game, i suck at fighting games too but i like to try my hand, and its great fun, if we could get more ntsc people in a big lobby it would be a great time on voice chat and such, go for it ezee

Just what I needed to hear so I have made my order for this now. I can't wait to give it a go. It just looks like so much fun and I adore the visual style.

                Cheers Largo

Will have to see if I can get my camera to record decent quality caps of this - I just got a quality replay saved of me tearing a level 52 Jin to bits!

If you like BlazBlue, although a totally different game Guilty Gear XX is fantastic and you can pick it up for as little as ?5 on the ps2 or xbox.

Accent Core Plus is available for PS2 and Wii, should be more balanced than XX and features the whole character cast and a good story mode.

BTW, tonight some good matches and three ragequitters...I always use Nu, and I'm kinda proud of my D-Card showing her portrait; apparently people think that Noel is some kinda of almighty anti-Nu, but most do not realize you need to know how to use her and adapt to your opponent. And if such a critic comes from me, it means they haven't understood nothing about the game.

My biggest mistake is that I follow a very basic strategy, which involves getting away from enemies, using D-D-bD-bD and qcf+D, usually followed by a dash for a short range combo; it's basic Nu stuff, but some people fall for it more than three times in a row...or they even fall for a simple sequence of qcf+D thrown at long range. Sometimes I feel guilty and stop spamming moves, but really, learn to dodge.

You can block, you can barrier block, you can double jump, Noel has her own long-range attack plus her jumping drive...learn how to use a character, do not quit the game shouting that Nu is cheap when you fall for very lame tricks.
I can understand such behavior from players lower than level 10, but when you face a level 20-ish (went from lvl 18 to 20 tonight) I find this unacceptable.

You have people chosing Noel, retreating (first error), hoping to outpace you with Voltic Barrels (second error) and then mashing drive moves (third error) and once you block, they are wide open to your attacks, whatever character you chose: sweeping them with fdC, continuing with fC and ending with either qcfD or qcbD is just fun, but here you get them quitting. Hate hate hate hate hate.

Found a level 34 Rachel tonight! Had a really good match against her and almost won...almost. Later I found the same player and he literally trashed me with Jin. Oh well.

I'm pretty sure Accent Core saw at least a PAL release for the Wii, not sure about Accent Core Plus, but it's available in America for PS2, Wii and PSP, checked VGP a moment ago.
