Platinum trophy is mine

Had to spend the morning forcing myself to use counter assault in score attack mode to get the trophy for that one - I find it to be a kind of useless feature actually so I never really use it intentionally. I suppose if you have someone who is spamming the same **** in the corner you could use it to break out.

After that I just needed 7 more ranked matches to get the 200.. unfortunately they turned out mostly as losses. Some of them were infuriatingly close but I lost out by one hit at the end, aargh! I did get a nice perfect victory against one player that was finished with the Emerald Tager Buster, that made me happy

Nice one Darwock - beat me to it! Still got plenty of online matches to play before I reach the 1000 mark... What level are you up to now, out of question?

I'm still level 30, after getting there I stopped doing ranked in favour of player matches, so I expect I'll be at this level for a very long time!

It's interesting to note that the gallery unlock conditions are tied in to the trophies, get a trophy and you get a new picture.

Player matches award points too, not sure if at the same rate as ranked matches...I ditched player matches almost entirely as people like too much to use easy specials and non-easy special rooms are too high for me (level 21).

Player matches give you 20% of the amount you would have got in a ranked match. The people I've been playing are friends who are much lower in level so I'm not even putting a dent in the requirements for levelling up. That's fine though, there's no particular reason to gain levels other than for the trophies, and I've got them already.

P.S. why don't you create your own room with easy specials off? That's what I've always done if I've wanted to play randoms. Mostly cos I don't wanna be kickable for winning and/or not being good enough!

Mostly because I don't want to sit around waiting for people to join the room...I just go to ranked matches, fight whoever the game matches me with (if within +- 10 levels) and play...I miss the voice chat, but this also means that I don't get to wear the headset in these hot days

what a rush just won my first ranked match, bear in mind i have only play about 3 ranked game since i picked up the game and at the start of the match i was level 2 and the end of the match i was level 12 how the hell do you jump 10 level in one match ?

When i played you paddy it lagged like crazy remember?, however after playing darwock (uk to japan connection) with no lag, im wondering what was happening there, perhaps it was a bad day or something, will have to try again
