It was the latter I suspect Jebus, and I got that particular question right.

The question asked was, roughly, "What is the name of West Ham United's football ground?". Easy you may think. Except none of the answers listed was "Upton Park". You see, the official name of the stadium is "Boleyn Ground", it's just that it's located in the region of London called Upton Park, and hence why everyone tends to just call it that instead.

Anyway, how come the first week where you can actually win REAL stuff in the UK is free to non paying LIVE customers? Isn't that exactly the reasons why there is a GOLD membership?

don't see a problem with the West Ham question, its proper pub quiz fodder which sorts out the true quiz kings/queens from the also rans.

last nights footy quiz was a bit dull, loads of historical UEFA cup final and 'who was player of the year in xxxx'

Well I gotta be honest, this has really quickly lost it's appeal to me. 4 hours of LIVE play later and nobody from our group has got into the mob. Plenty of idiots seem to get in there, but none of us.

Gonna try again tomorrow but if none of us get into the mob at least again, I think I'll just stop playing. It's getting boring with long ad breaks followed by long stat breaks etc.

I'd love to know how that Mr Fibble has a lifetime score of 40 million, or how he got into the "One" slot last friday and into the mob this friday. I'd love to know how people are getting 10,000 higher score than me or my party when we've got no questions wrong and answered them all quickly.

Beta or not, I have to say, my opinions have changed vastly after a week of experiencing it.

Agree. I had over 500 entire and didn't get selected for the mob. My friend on her first ever game got into the mob.

Our party of four agreed tonight that we're gonna just play the LIVE nights from now on, the spiel from MS about "play extended plays and get more lifetime score, it'll give you more chance to get into the mob" is just ****e. We've played every night bar one, broken a million lifetime score aleady and nothing.

I'm concerned at the people playing the UK version who aren't from the UK. There were a fair few VERY UK-centric questions that a LOT of people got wrong. Not to mention some of the high scores which seem actually impossible at this stage of the beta's lifetime.

bug or not the top three players from each round seem to be always about 10,000 points ahead even when you answer each question correctley with lightning speed. From what i can see of how the the scoring works they should be a few hundred points ahead not a few thousand.

If it is a bug a fair few people must be exploiting it. It puts a damper on the whole crowd part of the game because you can still win points if your in the top three players, but not if people are exploiting the game.

Could it be that there are a few people out there that have the question list for each show? are just hammering the right button so they get the instant answer and maximum points? this is the only way i can see that these sort of scores are possible.

As my wife pointed out last night, how pathetic are people to exploit bugs in a game like this, it's just a simple, fun, enjoyable experience, why not just play it?

I'm not sure even the hammering the right button would work! I've known the answer to a question and the second and "A" answer comes up and you know it's "B" you hammer B, but sometimes I still don't get an "instant" answer. I wonder if it's a latency issue.
