Dude... there's not really any point in transmigrating Space Pirates (or any of the Rogue classes). For one thing, their stats are crappy. The gain isn't worth the effort.

The main reason not to bother with doing that, though, is you'll probably regret spending the extra time on them when you realise you need one well over lvl3000 to be able to steal from an Item God 2. CoO becomes fairly useless for levelling up once you get past lvl2000, and getting any higher than that takes time and effort. I'd be spending that time concentrating on levelling him up, rather than transmigrating him. Transmigration won't improve his ability to steal.

That's the same as I did - I got a space Pirate up to 3300ish and left him at that, he gets 99% all the time. Going through my Super Robo Armour at the moment, want one for everyone but it's loooong!

I may not bother to transmigrate again then as I transmigrated the first time to get him converted to a Space Pirate. I ought to be able to give him a good boost in stats by getting a matching rarity set of items. He is OK to use on the lower levels of the legendary items I am visiting and is using the sword with the Level 300 Statistician to improve EXP gain.

If I could be bothered to get the enemy strength increased I would try some further levelling at CoO3 but the aggravation of having to reduce it again to get to Level 100 on legendaries is not worth it. If I clear a level (usually preferrable to just hit the exit quickly after checking for items on the opposition - pity there is no way of getting details of those items) I can gain a level or two at the least.

With the amount of Mana he has I am seriously considering some magic as he does seem a little vulnerable to damage, so some healing would definitely not go amiss.

Once you beat Baal - the assembly wont disagree with you, not even for triple EXP XD

I have to get to Baal first which I suspect may take a little time as it is not worth trying unprepared. I suspect getting a rarity 4 Staff for the Mage is going to take the longest. Preferably a high rank one, though a Saint's Staff taken to level 100 ought to be fairly reasonable.

Sorry to butt in here, but I need a small (and most likely moronic) question answered:

With an Armsmaster Resident, do I have to actually place them in a weapon to get the effect desired, or can I just place them in anything? I find it easier passing about a Testament with an Armsmaster in it than having to slave over the Item world menus to transfer the resident from one weapon to the next, but I'm not sure if I'm still getting a boost in weapon mastery.

                Yeah that will work.

Sweet, thanks for the clarification. Now to blast through the Item world a couple more times, I'm pretty sure I need more than a lvl150 Armsmaster to learn Winged Slayer with a female cleric at a bearable rate

I've just been going through my second cycle after beating La Pucelle, in preparation for Phantom Brave, and I still stand by my statement about 11 months ago when I first got it - It's still one of the most fun games i've played in a while.

midgame spoiler: Some events are even better the second time 'round, such as mashing up those lvl75 Alternate overlords!

Yes (with regard to the spoiler) it was very satifying disposing of seven of them in the first hit with my Mage.

I am coming to the conclusion that the Item Gods are somewhat dispappointing. Finished off the legendary bow last night and after a Magicboost disposed of him in three hits without suffering any damage. Now over 200K HP with intelligence at 208K. I really ought to tranmigrate again and keep doing it until I have at least maxxed out Intelligence. Bit too much of chore though even at about half an hour to return to Lvl 1000.

The now Level 100 Fleche Imflamee is now with Flon which has boosted here attack somewhat to say the least. Maybe I can get her to do some levelling up at CoO3 with that bow (as she has some suitable attacks).

Where is the best place to find a legendary Cosmic Blade then? Do I have to search legendary items, or can they be found on the more ordinary stuff?

Rank 39 items (legendary ones offer the best chance, because you've got more floors to go through and higher level enemies to fight). Have a look at the Weapon Rank Chart on GameFAQs. Remember to check all the enemies and the bonus list each time you enter a new floor.

Don't have many (any) legendary rank 39 items that I haven't visited. Got plenty of ordinary Cosmic Blades though. Might have a legendary Lucifer Force I haven't levelled up though.

I forgot Laharl still had the level 300 statician, and so having got the the last story map, everyone else is around level 55, while he is at level 83

Still, for a laugh, I gave my samurai the powerful sword with the stat bloke in it. Had a quick blast at the first map. Watched as, having killed the 1st bad guy, she jumped around 7 levels in one go. Methinks I'm going to like that map.

I am a big fan of CoO3. With Level 300 Statistician on a Cosmic Sword (courtesy of Item World) I took my newly transmigrated Space Pirate (thought I would give it another transmigrate just to see how little effect it had) there. Lvl 1. One Winged Slayer later and he was Lvl 127 and this with enemy strength on minimum. He was good for about 12-15000 HP per enemy. Trouble is the next hit was about half the first and of course this kept reducing. I think I am going to have to resort to getting stronger enemies passed enough times to make it less of a pain. I am only up to about Lvl 500 after about 15 minutes so some seriously more powerful enemies are called for..

Still no sign of a legendary Cosmic Sword unfortunately. At least I have two legendary Lucifer Forces to check out though. One is progressing toward Level 100.

That's the best way to do it when you havent got ridiculous weapons to boost attack (then you just leave it maxed). As soon as the character can kill the enemies easily go and raise enemy level twice.

You should be able to kill standard Baal by now - when your thief is at lv3000 you should go get him.

I skanked Uber Prinny so hard last night!
Geo Changed so that I got Damage 20% then nicked his armour and ran away till he died!
