How many hit points do the Surts manage. What was your highest level character when you recruited them?

I still need to find a legendary Galactic Staff. Saving at Floor 99 I ought eventually to get an Omniscient Staff (with resets) of the right number so that I can fully equip my mage with matching rarity level 100 items. She should then be well capable of 1000K+ hits.

I still need to find a legendary rank 39 fist and axe.

I am getting to the point of dumping anything except legendary items. I had a clear out of the low powered restoratives as my thief can do a 178K Omega Heal. With the amount of SP points now an SP restorative is pretty much irrellevant.

I suppose you could go to the portal and next turn unequip and walk in but that would get to be a bit of a pain. What I sometimes do is use normal characters for throwing towards the exit and then zap in Vinny to do a final throw or whatever as necessary.

do items of matching rarity add damage/effects?

You get a stat boost for two, three or four matching rarity items (more difficult on the standard items due to the large range of numbers). The boost is not supposed to be that big, but in giving a recruited Lvl 1600 or so Bahamut (Dragon - at least I think it was that characer) 4 items with the same rarity number the ATK was boosted by about 100,000.

That dragon now has my second level 100 Super Robo Suit because it matched the rarity number of the items it was carrying. it now has three of those items on Level 100 (I am currently levelling up a legendary Celestial Armour for it). All the Stats for it are well into 6 figures with HP being in the region of 340,000. Not bad for a character that is rapidly approaching Lvl 2000. I gained about 200 levels on one item as I had a level 300 Statistician on its Lucifer Force. It can manage in the region of 200K+ hits at the moment and I am expecting the last levelled item to boost that into the 300K region (I hope). The fourth matching item I think gives a 50% improvement though I am not sure it works as simply as that as I have seem stats more than double. It is as strong as my level 3200+ Mage. Against an Item God last night (no specials though) with about 2,500,000 HP both the mage and the dragon were getting 0 hits for all its attacks. The mage only has 3 matching items as I am looking to get a matching rarity ultimate staff for her (could involve a number of resets and try again before I manage it). I do have a legenedary Galactic Staff to achieve it with.

On legendary items I have the bow (well 4 actually, I picked up another couple last night), sword, spear, Monster weapon and staff. I still need the fist item and the axe I think.

The Surts were dishing out around 250K damage on the Item God 2 which was level 7000 ish. Laharl was doing 400K with a Yo****suna equiped, his Nightsever special did over 1 mil.

When I can get a lvl 100 legendary staff for my mage I ought to get that sort of a hit. I ought really to work on Tera Star (currently level 17 on that). The standard Star is on level 60 which I prefer because it is quicker. I'll have to go down my legendary Galactic Staff to floor 99 and save and then keep resetting after getting the rank 40 item if I don't get the correct rarity. I'll have to pull the same trick with an SRS and legendary Cosmic Blade so I can get an SRS and a Yo****suna with the same rarity as the Hyperdrive. Then need a suitable fourth item... Too much to do... too little time. Roll on the weekend.

Hurrahh, finally completed it for the first time. After levelling most of my characters to 90, and going through item world a few times, he went down like a dirty whore. Like to know exactly where he got his armour though. I assume I got the standard ending, but I thought it was pretty good.

Shame I have Chrono Cross and Xenogears to play. Otherwise I'd be straight back in. But I will come back to this, no question. Too much left undone.

Just got through the alternate netherworld, love the new 'stuff' I obtained through it.

All I really want now before the next sidequest is some new items, such as cosmic blades and the like. guess i'll have to go into the twighlight zone that is level 11 and beyond of those testaments. This is going to be fun!

Wait until you meet an Item God 2 on a Cosmic Blade or whatever!!

I didn't get a very good ending. I obviously need to try harder. The second ending was Human World. The number of times I have persuaded the Assembly I may be in for that ending, though I did beat an Item God (don't think Item God 2 is the one) so I may get that ending.

Finally got Etna up to Lvl 1000+. So far I have done 4 transmigrates I think. Did three last night in the 90 minutes or so that I was playing. Will probably do another one or two today (she is currently at Lvl 1022 I think). Starting to get a decent bonus to add. Bit of a pain having to get her to Demon Rank 3 to be able to transmigrate.

Money is now sitting at around 25 Billion with only stealing items that I need to buy.

Today I think I will be going down the Longinus so that I can get Etna a suitably rarity numbered Glorius. Hopefully remembering to save at Floor 99 so that I don't lose the item if I need to quit (having not got the correct rarity number). Then it will be time to work on the Glorius and then Etna should be pretty powerful.

Need to do the same thing with a Yo****suna for my Space Pirate!!

Being on hols has really pushed my Disgaea to do list, I'm getting nearer being able to say I've done everything.

                    To Do:

                    Get Galaxy bow
                    Get Ultimus fist
                    Get Etoile gun
                    Get Omniscient staff

The only things I have in warehouse (other than the top two weapons in each class) are Rare and Legendary.

I've only 2 endings to see now, the 50 team kills ending and 100 team kills ending.

Trapping lvl 9999 monsters now is so easy it seems pointless having anything under lvl 2000 that isn't a storyline character, so I've deleted them. Laharl is now kicking out as much as 10mil damage using the winged slayer attack, a normal attack (with 3 maxed robosuits and Yo****suna equiped) gives 800K-1Mil most of the time.

I've pretty much rinced the game, so why am I still so addicted to playing it? It truely is a classic.

I only have the Glorious and the Yo****suna... three of them so far (two of them levelled to 100) all of rarity 3. The first took a few reloads to get but the subsequent ones were first time. I wonder if the thing only produces a new Yo****suna of a like number. I am still trying to find a legendary fist.

Other than about three Cosmic Blades I only have Legendary Items in the Warehouse (other than Mr' Gency's Exit of course). I have stopped carrying healing items as the spells can cure a lot more and as for SP the characters have more than enough to see them through 10 floors of an item.

I have enemy strength up a few "notches". It results in a Lvl 9999 Item God 2 with about 14,000,000 HP. Not usually a problem for Etna as she rarely takes any damage. I think the last IG2 managed about 100K in total before he succumbed to the onslaught! It means that on one legendary rank 40 item she gains pretty much a level a kill so a full 10x10 floor trip is good for about 600 evels, depending on how much skipping I do.

I still have about 100 characters to remove all of a Lvl 9999 Prinny Baal's SP down the base panel. Lowest level is around 80 though.

I have only seen two endings so far.

Etna has come up through the ranks and is currently at Lvl 5100 or so. Only capable of about 500K on an Asteroid Drop though. Need more SRS's I think. On Magic she can hit for 250-300K and healing is in the region of 800K. Currently equipped with two Prinny Suits and an SRS and the Glorious. 1,700,000 HP and a defence of 1,100,000 which is useful. Only my Lvl 9999 Surt and Lvl 9500 Tiamat have more HP (2,900,000 and 2,500,000 respectively - courtesy of two Prinny Suits). For a quick defensive boost the Prinny Suit is ideal as it ready levelled.

I got my Omniscient Staff last night. Got the rarity number I wanted at the first attempt (strangely the same thing happened with the last two Yo****sunas). I will be levelling it up tonight so the mage should then have some power to spare. At the moment with the non-matching rarity Level 100 Galactic Staff she has 545,000 on INT which I suspect may be good for a hit of over 1000K. On the three hundred and whatever thousand she had before there was up to 700K available. I wonder what the Omniscient will give her with the matching rarity and residents transferred in.

Can you guys please give me some sweet power-leveling spots? I'm around level 35-50 with my characters and I'd like to take them up a notch.

                            Thanks

How far through the game are you. There are a few good levelling places. Other than the "Lavish Hall" (in Episode 3) which is good for a few levels with higher enemy strength, though I only used it (first play through) to start a character off. Next is "Terrible Cold" (Episode 5?). The one with only one non-invincible square. Throwing all the enemies into one "stack" on the way to the unprotected square can give some reasonable levels. The first really useful level up is "Valgipus IV" (Episode 9?). There is a 3x3 set up there so Winged Slayer or any other 3x3 attack work well. Before opening Cave of Ordeal that was the place I did most of my levelling up. It took a long while, but I think I got a Mage to Lvl 1000 there, with a few levels of boosted enemy strength from the Assembly. You really need to clear it in one hit though. The worst level up was between 99 and 100 as there were considerably more EXP for that increment than the ones around it.

With Cave of Ordeal open (use the lowest rank possible so the Assembly can be forced relatively easily) then Cave of Ordeal 3 is the place for levelling up if you have the strength of weapons. I can get a new character from 1 to 1000 in about 20 minutes on maximum enemy strength (well over 200 levels on the first hit_, though an ATK of about 30,000 is (plus a number of Braveheart boosts) is about right as they take a lot of power to kill. Less for the initial strength of the enemy though, but still good for a number of levels. Another one to clear in one hit unless you have high defence. On your first few visit (at the very least) remember to save first in case anything goes wrong there. You need to be sure you are strong enough to dispose of the enemy as they are powerful, even at lowest enemy strength.

Thanks, Bassman. I don't think I've quite yet reached episode 9. However, I'll give the epidsode 5 a try.
