I've tried to read this through once already - it's a nightmare! I'm at about page 11 or 12 and find myself more confused and intrigued than satisfied. Posts vary from worryingly deep, to unhelpfully blunt. There are just so many things to know and learn in this game that reading 550 randomly ordered questions and answers is simply pointless. We need an in-thread search option, that would be really helpful.

There is one, built into VBulletin 3. look at the top of the messages in a page and on that blue bar there's a 'Search this thread' link. click on it, and a little box pops up, and away you go! handy little gadget, imo

I'm towards the end now. I feel limited by not completing the game. I want to start to power-level and do loads of cool stuff, but I'm limited by geo-panels and stuff. I'm at ep 12 and about 30 hours... about lvl 55... I did manage to fall asleep with the game on half-way though a level... that was a nice 8 hours to the clock there ;P

Is anyone else still playing this? I'm gradually progressing... I'm halfway through Episode 10 with Laharl at about level 73, a couple of others in their 50s and all my other created characters in the 30s and 40s. I've been concentrating on levelling up these other characters and unlocking the hidden character types - last night I finally got an Archer who now needs levelling up...

At this rate I'll be lucky to see the "end" (any ending) before the year's out but I'm not complaining. What a game!

I fire it up occasionally for "old times sake", but that hasn't been for a while. I think my mage was somewhat higher in level by that point.

I must have put hours into the game and I've still only seen 2 different endings.

Mucking around in item world, I'd presume. Remember that higher ranked items = higher level enemies = muchos exp.

You are right, I spent a fair bit of time in item world and then as I was concentrating on levelling up the lower characters in Jotunheim, I usually used Laharl and one of the other powerful characters to "help" them, so he was often getting levelled up purely as a bonus.

I've not played this for a couple of weeks now though... I really ought to get back to it. My ambition is to get to the "end" (for the first time) before the end of the year.

You've got to be kidding me. I was massively above that well before Episode 10. I was at level 90 with Laharl by the time I had finished Episode 6:

I don't see how you can call yourself a gamer unless you can beat all of the EDIT: (fake!) alternate overlords on your first playthrough of the game. Unfortunately, there was no extra sequence awarded for doing so. Quite the opposite, you miss out on the usual defeat cutscene.

I then plowed through the game. Laharl got rather high towards the end. Lvl 180 something. And I had transmigrated him 3 times to see if it would have any effect.

the title of "Overlord" - thus making any resolution you want to pass as Laharl in the congress guaranteed to go through.

Oh, I think I need to clarify, when I said

, I meant the one immediately following the stage when you

either die and press quit. The one where your lieges come to your aid. I wasn't referring to the overall ending.

With regards to

Hmm, I need to clarify, you should be able to read this stuff if you're past Chapter 6 and don't care about minor gameplay details.

If you beat Baal - all resolutions will pass in dark congress using Laharl, even the get funds from congress one
