Played this yesterday with a couple of people who are still confirmed pes players and think fifa is the devil. Even they agreed this is terrible. Scored 4 goals and every single one was the result of terrible goalkeeper AI and awful defending. Its so far from real football its unbelievable.
I love reading the pes apologists comments about this 'not being the full build'. It was the same story with the 09 demo.

      You've not watched Middlesbrough then?

Also, I don't necessarily think people who are stating that this isn't the full build are apologists. It's just that any improvements won't be enough to swing people who are equally parochial against the series back.

Fair point. My mate literally ran in a straight line from about 40 yards out. The defence parted then the keeper lay on the floor. Bizarre.

I've played the fifa demo so much I can barely remember how this plays, other than the overwhelming feeling of arcadez.

Sounds like a worse skanking than the one I got on fifa last night, where the keeper went to catch a dipsy floating cross shot and palmed the ball straight down across the goal line, for some Bayern player to tap in. Eeven the commentators were wincing about the 'howler'.

Had a good session on this last night with a friend. Have to say it was ace. Played some great one touch footy, passing and moving etc.

Makes me look forward to the full release. Dying to see how the online stands up.

Not sure I can add much more to what already has been posted. Graphics best face models for likeness I have ever seen and general graphics kit detail etc are top notch. Match starting straight away too a gold star goes to the person that thought of that. Bearing in mind this is a demo and some problems have already been addressed in future code. My only real gripe is the delay which I believe has and will be addressed. I ran with Gudjohnsen yesterday and pulled back, about half a second later he moved this is most annoying near the byline for me.

In general I Iove the the new feel especially with more emphasis on the tactics. It`s brilliant I can tell my team and players to play the way I WANT, whether that be attackive/defensive or a mix of the two. The balls weight is magnificent with a real feel of trajectory when shooting. For me the thing that most sets this apart from anything else around is the individuality and small touches you only notice after further plays. Its so satisfying to see Ibrahimovic do a tradmark skill it`s untrue. I`ll leave it at that because much has been said before, but enjoying this as much as I remember enjoying other iterations. Last thing to for the first time ever I am feeling the need to use the analogue stick for movement to me this proves they have definitely added a greater range of movement, whether this is 360 degrees I don`t know though.

I'm certain that 360 degree movement isnt in the demo. Whether it is the full game or not I've yet to see.

I think it's all me arse the 360 movement in 2010. I think it's 16 directions rather than the 8 of past. It used to be 16 directions for sprint dribbling, but now it seems it's regular dribbling too.

As a PES player I've always felt a bit worried about 360 dribbling coming into the game. I really think it would take some of the fun out of the game. I like the limited directions, your opponent knows you can only go certain directions, and you, yourself know your options when on the ball. Makes one on ones more interesting and more of a chance to skin.

Maybe it's like if Tekken suddenly allowed you to hit anywhere on the whole body rather than high, medium or low. Maybe not

Think that is the key to be honest. FIFA is geared much more towards the solo experience (despite their flashy adverts) whereas the true beauty of PES is when you play against mates...in the same room.

                      Are you having a laugh?

Fifa brought be a pro clubs into the genre, starting with 5 vs 5, and now 10 vs 10 online!

Criticise Fifa if you want, but goodness me you cannot complain about the way they are going with the multiplayer!

Most people I know that like both games end up playing PES for the master league and Fifa for the online!

I love both, Jeebs. I gotta say, the 10 v 10 MP on FIFA is ok, but not a patch on 1v1 or 2v2 regular whole team control MP.

Lets not also forget that FIFA does 1v1 online play pretty damn well. The last pes i played online was 08 on 360 and it was officially unplayable. I'd swear i was playing it on dial-up.

I don't really understand how this makes it better or gives you 'more of a chance to skin'?? When I'm playing FIFA I feel like on the wings with Messi i have far more options to beat a man, am i the only one??

Lads, it's down to a mixture of personal tastes, roots mixed with lingering loyalty... let's not get bogged down with which is the best game. Both have their strengths in my opinion. Both are worth getting of you've ever been a PES fan and FIFA too if you're a footy game fan.

Indeed, the last match I played on PES online the ball was warping all over the place, glitching like crazy.

I'm just not having that PES is the better online game, and I've skated with both games so I know that to be TRUFAX!

If you mean PES is the better 1vs1 LOCAL multiplayer game then maybe, but I doubt there is much in it now.

No, I dont agree. Fifa is the better online game.
