Your list doesn't stop the fact that I and others on this forum are enjoying the game a lot. I love PES, no shame in that. Am I a fanboy? I'm a fan of the series and a man. A fanman then. Fan of men? Oo-er.

Maybe if you try the game out for more than 5 minutes rather than going in wanting it to fail you may surprise yourself. Actually, don't bother.

I actually played the absolute hell out of pes 4 & 5 on the xbox and bought pes 08 thinking it would be brilliant. And at that time it was the best footy game on a next gen system - I played 09 and it felt to me exactly the same and I've only played the demo of 10 (more than once) and that was enough for me. If it had been a 'return to form' as it is always touted then I would have happily bought it. Or if EA was still churning out rubbish like it used to.
I personally would love it if Seabass kept his promises but he is now surely becoming just a japanese Peter Molyneux.

I can believe it. I just want more from it and got burned with pes 08. And this doesnt seem too much different. A lot nicer looking though.

Obviously its all opinions and what you actualy look for in the game, but i dont really agree with this.

Keeping comparisons with FIFA aside this still isnt very enjoyable to me.

I dont like how all the players seem to move about as if they have bricks on their feet. I dont like how its virtualy impossible to mark crosses and scoring from them is mainly all to do with what the CPU wants to happen. I dont like the fact that you need to play it on the hardest difficulty to make the CPU do anything other than back pedal as you storm through the defense, you rarley even have to pass the ball. Most inportantly of all though is the fact that I absolubtley HATE the keepers in this game, basicaly every saved shot leads to a potential rebound goal, its utterly pathetic really.

Like I said its just my opinion, but after playing it over the weekend I'm finding this a pretty horrible game.

The more I play this, the more I am genuinely loving it; it feels like I should be keeping this fact a dirty little secret.

It's all so very satisfying.

I'm scoring some class goals that just make me want to force replays down everyone's eyeballs, and the rapid arcadey passing and weightless players means that you can just focus on stringing together incisive moves on the fly - it's just so easy-going and pleasurable and immediately gratifying.

It's the Outrun of footy games.

Try as I might I cant get into Fifa. Scoring is just too easy and not as satisfying as pro evo is. Thus, picked up a copy from Ebay and the cheap. Can't wait to get my hands on it now.

Given the game a hammering yesterday. Man its pretty poor. The whole thing feel amateurish in design. Appaling lack of licences even ones they had in the past. Cheap menu design too but least its responsive in the menus.
I went straight into Edit mode and was amazed at the quality of the players faces, exceptional detail. Nice idea of giving the boots stats also but does it make a difference?

The overall look of the game is excellent, brilliant lighting all around and even night games look great unlike the PS2 version but the animation and player movement is a joke, even the PS2 game moves better. The turgid way the players turn is a mess, no flow or freedom whatsoever. 360 dribbling works ok but no option to just trot along with the ball by moving the analogue stick a tiny bit.

Overall gameplay is pretty fun mind. You can move the ball around with ease and create some nice moves. Shooting is easy but lacks any satisfaction but does look great when you cut in and smash one of the bar.

It is by no means a terrible game, but its not what we should be playing after years of innovative ideas and progression with the series. Despite some badly implimented new animation and a few skill moves it feels worse the PES of old. I do wonder why Konami didnt put all the skill moves in last years PS2 iteration, is it because they know it would be better to play? PES 2010 is a fun cheap arcade football game. It feels like a 19.99 title from the offset.
Shame as i love playing as Japan and I love the master league.

Man, this game feels too arcade-y after Fifa. Too quick, too easy to score. Its fun- dont get me wrong, but it aint football any more.
