Up to about 70% completed now & what a game. Absolutely wonderful. As Miguel007 says, cracking sound, graphics & set pieces. At the moment, I can't seem to find any faults at all.

Finished this last night. Was damn near perfect but kinda let me down towards the end.
I didn't like how the goat/yeti things turned out to be pale purple men in suits. That felt more ridiculous than a yeti monster. I loved the yeti things, they were pretty fierce. =(
And Shambala was kinda naff. It was an impressive ravaged paradise, but I just didn't like that location.
Other than that, it was a joy to play. The first
20 odd chapters
flew by.

I think reviewers who underated this game for being linear were blinded by just how well the stages were designed. Having just finished FF13 I appreciate that it can be more difficult to design a game with a linear path than an open world.
Not once in Uncharted 2 did I have the desire for a map or directions; whereas in FF13 I had to keep bringing up the mini/full map.
And dispite the linearity, looking for treasure in Uncharted 2 was a lot more fun than item hunting in most open-world games.

Just started it, about 3 hours in. Think it's great so far and it's a hugely impressive game. At times though it's leading you a bit too far by the hand.
Doesn't have a feeling of exploration like the first and the level of guidence and nudging in some parts makes me feel a bit like it's a glorified QTE. I'm sometimes tempted to deliberately fluff up some sections just to see if the game will let you.

Finished it now.
Absolutely beautiful game.
Liked the way they improved upon some of the faults of the original; there were fewer instances of fighting 3 or 4 waves in the same area and generally they put checkpoints in if there were, fewer enemies ran in from blocked off alleys behind you, they let you carry much more ammo of the automatic weapons, melee was far more usefull, especially if you were going the stealth route.
Negatives:
Melee locks you in until you kill the guy (or at least is time consuming to get out of), this pretty much results in death everytime someone punches you in the open.
The
blue guys
were frustrating when you first met them, If you didn't have grenade launchers or crossbows, they were incredibly hard to kill.
Ruin exploration was a bit poor this time around. You do an complex puzzle that requires the journal, the dagger and it's a fairly elaborate set up. The reward for this? Opening a window so you can see the incredibly hard to miss symbol on the ground leading the way that you could've spotted without needing to do the incredibly convoluted puzzle. Not to mention the fact the city was probably pretty obvious to see via satelite or helicoptor.
-Everyone's eyes. They just look weird, was distracting in the cut scenes.
-Claudia Black. I know Nolan North is in everything at the moment but Claudia Black seems far more over exposed for me. I suppose her voice is more identifiable and her character in this was even closer to the Stargate one than in DAO.

I thought I'd have a quick play of this last night as I'd not gone near it since completing it at release.
I'd forgotten how bloody compelling the game is, it got e straight into the "I'll just do the next bit before going to bed" state of mind and I ended up playing it for hours and it's been the same this morning too.
As I'd only played it through once and it was months ago I can't remember what's going to happen next and it's almost like I'm playing it for the first time. I have Crackdown 2 waiting here unopened because of this game.
Just made my way up to
the monastery
now and loving the combat in it. It's a real mix of just popping people in the head and hand to hand combat.
In the nine months since launch I can only think of Super Marion Galaxy 2 that's as good as this. Ah well, another twelve months and we'll hopefully be onto the next Naughty Dog game.
