The mining can get a bit draining though I found out I'd been doing too much of it, lol. There are way more minerals than items to spend on so a steady maintained tally is enough

New DLC at end of this month, maybe a new patch will be smuggled in via that...
BTW, here's some info on what previous patch was meant to do (although whether it does it or not is another matter. I haven't fired it up yet...): http://www.qj.net/qjnet/playstation-...1-for-ps3.htmlLast edited by Golgo; 25-03-2011, 11:38.

Sketcz, I waited till the patch was released before buying teh game and can confirm so far that the game runs fine, bar a few stupid bugs, the save file is fine... (grabs pencil to touch some wood). Dunno if that helps you at all? I seem to be one of only a few peeps on here to own the PS3 version, as most peeps own a 360 version - I do dislike being late to a party for the sake waiting for a price drop - sign of the times.
I probably won't buy the the last DLC at the end of the month (i got a thing about paying for DLC).

Started playing this the other night have just completed the first.
Vast improvement over the first – graphics are a huge improvement, combat is far better, interface slicker.
Problem was the “import your old character” isn’t really much cop. You import your looks, but start back on level 1. Lost all your stuff, powerups, etc. New set of powerups so I can kinda see why, but I’d of least liked a kind of “hey have 10 skill points for free” after all my hard work last game. They’ve basically gone for the easiest way they could deal with previous characters and decisions.
Well the second easiest – they didn’t kill everyone off
. Shame.
Good game still, really enjoying it. More cinematic, far more polish. Looking forward to putting some time into it

Arrival DLC.
Short even if take the time to scan the new planets. No interesting gameplay, just more of the same. The story is okay and the only reason anyone should buy it. If you aren't invested in the story and you don't care about having a persistent character for ME3 then there is no need to buy this.
No where near the Shadow Broker but better than Overload. Not worth the 560msp.
High points
barreling towards the Mass relay set piece and the two fooking sexy arse shots. Shirow would be proud to have his name attached to this.

Are you playing a female Shepard, or eyeing up the gilfs?
I can't say I was too mad on this DLC - some ok bits and definitely worth playing from a ME3 setup perspective, but nothing particularly interesting that stands it out from the rest of the game. Also think I'm in a minority in preferring Overlord over Shadow Broker

Took me about 90 minutes to do Arrival. Definately one of the weaker DLCs and arguably it wasn't needed at all. Out of the whole thing I only found the final five minutes interesting, but the good news is it hints towards starting ME3 in quite an interesting way.
I'd recommend the DLC but only if you are crazy in love with all things Mass Effect. Oh, and if you do buy I recommend you finish the main story first.
