However, if you warp everywhere, you will miss out on some amazing in-car chat, so only start warping when you are bored of the chat. If it hasn't started yet, it's about old films and stuff. Additionally later in the game you can get some much faster cars. Also there are many side missions you might miss if you warp too much. For example, go fill up with petrol.

I didn't use the warp at all - therefore I quickly learnt my way around without needing the map too much. As above, patience. Soak it all in. Do as many side missions as poss (see them in the menu during each chapter).

Well I kept myself playing until 2am so it can't be bad. I read up about it in bed to get an idea of how the game flows. It seems to have plenty of time to do things each day without hitting deadlines.

I run out of damn petrol though. It took me ages to find the station and when I did it was closed.

When I played it I also didn't use the warp. I think it's probably one of my favourite games of all time. It's just awesome.

When it play through the chapters again to 100% it, I'll use the warp. Maybe.

Well into episode 2 now and still grinding along. [HIDE]Just investigating the murder of Becky.[/HIDE]
The game is pretty bad overall, glitchy, controls badly, rubbish visuals etc. It does get by on charm though and charm alone to be honest. The music is great but repeats a hell of a lot. It feels more than ten years old.

There's a warp?? I think i read that before but took a typical Northern "we'll manage" attitude

I have loved so much reading everyones feelings in this thread since the import hit, the main reason i love this forum so dearly and have since i first discovered it!

Oh I will complete it, the plot has me in deep enough to somehow just keep playing it. I am about to buy a car as we speak which should hopefully speed up travel.

I wouldn't recommend it to any casual gamers though and I don't know what I would score it so far.

The plot really gripped me. In fact i didn't appreciate how much it had actually blown me away until id played through a fair few of the "blockbusters" realised between then and now

I love so many of the little thing I have to admit. The recap of what happened with Frank asking you if you remember what happened is a cool touch. Some of the one liners are superb like the guessing of the name of the character Quint.

                        Emily is also rather fit.

Excellent. More newcomers who are experiencing it first time. The rest of us can live like vicarious vampires, feeding on your fresh reactions to things.

Keep us updated with events as they happen.

Also, be sure to do as many side-missions as possible, they result in some real gems of conversation, and also great items. For example, see all those bones on the map? Drive around collecting all of them as soon as possible, since there's a scene later on where you get an item depending on how many you found before hand. It's worth it.

Also, be sure to complete Brian's missions when it's available, to get the flamethrower. That should keep you in good condition for a couple of tricky enemies.

Savour it, because you only get this experience once.

I enjoy the driving. Like GTA it makes the whole thing more immersive (one of the great moments in GTA SA was the long drive through the night from LA to SF). I just drove from the hospital to the murder site to the lumber mill and the banter in the car is ace. Not filled up with fuel yet though.

Still only very early into the game but there's something about it, that's for sure

Getting a new car helped. I can appreciate the huge gameworld but driving at 55mph was a chore. Now I hit almost 80 and it feels much better.
