Hardly surprising. It's going to take word of mouth/forums again to get people to trust Konami.

The developers finally have a decent foundation for next-gen PES. Unfortunately for Konami, it's a bit too late for many footy gamers due to Fifa coming on in leaps n bounds in the meantime.

I hope Konami have the time and money to build on PES11.

I used to love Pro evo but i cant see the point in buying both, so went with Fifa again, having played this at the weekend im glad i did, its still miles better than recent konami efforts mind you.

Releasing them a week apart was silly in my opinion, few people will blow £80 on football games within 7 days. PES releasing 2nd didn't help them either.

agreed if they were to get next years out a month before Fifa it might tempt people to go with it, but Fifa coming out the week before must kill sales big time i would think.

PES has always released 2nd. Even in it's heyday, so would have made no difference.

i didnt know that to be honest well maybe konami need to get it out earlier next year then.

This game is like an eccentric old fart, it just makes certain crazy decisions for you, so frustrating when you concede a goal like that ARGH! Players will run away from passes, defenders wont clear the ball away or react quick enough. just simple things

There are definte improvments and when it all clicks is sublime, through balls seem to be easier and the game wants playing the ground more now teams like barca and Arsenal can fare better now than before thats for sure.

I'll still play it because I cant be asked with Fifa but Konami have a lot to do IMO before I shell out my hard earned money on themm

That's just overall scores though, they can be misleading. Honda is 'only' 70 but most of his stats are 80+ or high 70's.

Glad to see Okubo is poo. I really don`t like his style or rate him at all. I`m gonna draft in Nakamura Kengo/Morimoto. Keep the impressions coming peeps. My copy should come sometime next week. That online ML bug sounds horrid with 3 own goals givin you 70k :thumbsdown: . I`ll keep　playin the demo til mine arrives .

Back when FIFA was crap it did make little difference, now however I can't help but think sales would have been better had it come out earlier or 2+ weeks later. Releasing them so close together has forced a lot of people to choose between the two and the majority have gone with FIFA.

Crikey o'blimey!!

Just made it to the Champions League final with Man Utd after beating Chelsea 3-1 in the second leg (3-2 overall).

Thing is I was 1-0 up until 87 minutes when they equalised and then 3 goals were scored in extra time!

Thrilling stuff it was. I was properly shouting at Gary Neville to stay in position.

Played this for a good 4 hours last night and am loving it so far.

I'm just loving the freedom the passing offers and the fact that the opposition look to take chances and make rash decisions. One example was a friendly I was playing and I put the ball into space for my winger, he was easily going to get it before the opposition midfielder but he lunged in as I knocked the ball forward, dirty dirty foul and a yellow card

I'm loving the Become a Legend mode, more effort has been put into the presentation this year, such as the captain coming to have a chat after the match telling me I'll get better in time And the managers request which change during the match depending on his whims. Though I am still to get a call up from Wales

Had a few games online and everything seems stable enough, I played someone from France with no noticeable lag, which is nice.

So far I really like this years edition, it still has it flaws but it does seem like a breath of fresh air.

I presume you mean the new data pack?
It's just gone live on PS3 (no idea on 360) and downloading now.
