At least with B spec mode you are guaranteed a Red Bull X 2010. You get one for free when your B spec level reaches 35. So if you are rubbish at the Vettel Challenge and don't want to buy one you can get your hands on one.

I actually really enjoy B-spec mode. It's frustrating sometimes but it's a nice way to watch your cars in action without having to watch your own replays. It's also reminiscent of watching a real race, as these AI drivers seem to have the same amount of difficulty making a pass that modern F1 drivers do, lol. I can put on B-spec at times when I want to do GT stuff but can't be sure I won't get interrupted.

I can't work out how to change the tyres! In 'settings' you can just view them, selecting with X does bugger all.

Been playing Bspec all day mind, most of the time the car is overpowered and I don't even need to manage, its like a glorified replay. It might as well tell you you've won and not show it.


What does 'create thumbnail' in the garage do? And what is the arrow next to your driver in the screen where it shows him levelling up after a race.. ahhhhhhh!

Driving Options is where you change the tyres.

The Green horizontal arrow shows your driver is Ok. Orange and Down signify he is getting worse (not sure about that as I usually ignore it!) and Blue and Up signify he is improving.

Tried some online tonight and got a little cash and Experience, About 1.5 laps in the dark on the 'Ring is not my idea of fun, neither particularly was the fact it was 3 laps in total.

Total of 641K Exp from Lv 29 to Lv 30 and I have about a tenth of it so far!

Your B spec has an overall level. Mine is currently Lv 21. My best driver is Class 19. You can enter any of your drivers in any race up to your B spec level. Entering them in higher level races will of course increase their Class more quickly. Each Class increase will improve their stats. Try to avoid Madrid for a first race as my G Berger just could not negotiate the corner at the top of the track at all... unless I told him to slow down as he was approaching it.

Going to have to bite the bullet and let one of mine try his hand at Nascar. One of the four "Hot" ones who hopefully has a Blue Arrow going up...

I just can't do the the Lamorghini challenges. Any time I use a car it powerslides ridiculously out of control. On the other hand Ferrari cars are muchy easier to control.

If I ever had shed loads of money I'd never by a Lambo.

Tried the NASCAR last night. My guy won Indy easily enough. Kept going back down the field in the second race so abandoned it.

Maybe I am just off games (can't blame the cold any more). I just can't be bothered to grind away at GT5 to try to get the Multi Millionaire Trophy which I reckon would take approaching 6 hours repetition of the Extreme American Indy Race. I'd admittedly get about 300K Exp into the bargain. That race is just plain boring after the first few runs. The more interesting Extreme European Rome race would be better thanks to the wider choice of cars but would take approaching 7.5 hours netting about around the same amount of Exp.

A couple of Best Motoring programmes have been added to the GT-TV menu, but they are pay-per-view. 300 yen each - I don't know if that is downloadable or you really pay for every viewing...

Bonnet view has always been in hasn't it? I've been using it with my standard cars for the past two weeks...?

I don't find getting cash that hard, sold most of my less fast cars only have the 80s and classic sports races to do on beginner etc. Still need the S license, I need to do more Special events as barely done any. Just A-Spec mode for me. Got the Veyron and on Expert races that look rather long 5 laps eek. Just won the Professional events and have a Ferrari 458 Italia and still got my supped up Lambo Gallardo. Used the 4 black Stealth cars I got free in some races. I have the Japanese version. Need to try hard to get to level 16 and need to do some of those special events by the sounds of things.

Picture this. You go and upgrade your car, come out of the tuning shop and go directly into a race. When the race starts you realise that you have effectively wasted a bucketload of money on a car that is not worth driving. What can you do? I hasten to add this has not happened to me! Anyway what can you do? Quit the game, simple as that, and your hard earned cash will be returned and you can live to spend it on upgrading another questionable lump of metal.

I have had the reverse happen. I upgraded and for some reason quit the game in a race or whatever. On restarting the game I found the changes (I wanted) were removed so I had to do them again.

Why I mention this is that I just quit a race on a secondary account and am wondering if the work I did on the Toyota Tacoma pickup (from the normal dealer as it was cheaper than the Online Dealer, though with a few more Km on it) will need to be done again next time I am on that account.
