How did you get the Lambo and Veyron in the first place though. There isn't even a Bugatti dealership.

I've had to chop and change cars for pretty much every event I've entered. The only car I could use in two events was the Ferrari 512 BB.

I do the supercar challenge race in my RX7, I'll check some other stuff though, that's mad loadout.

Why when I get a license does it tell me I can now enter more races? No race so far has required any kind of license to enter.

Because I need to grind Cr. 7,500,000 to buy the Dodge.

Its 70k in my version, but thats not a hard grind....? AMG challenge, Rally, Kart.. I did the Loeb challenge back then at lvl 16... won the car, used it to rape Rally... ka-ching! All for free. Until lvl 22 I honestly never grinded. Grab as many golds as you can in Special Events, and win every A-Spec race (mostly easy). Some cars are worth it, the Clio V6 won me multiple championships, as did the 458 Italia and Gallardo. In a later event you win the Lupo GTI, in an earlier one you can use it and win blindfolded. Don't do the events sequential.

For the Dodge you also need a muffler and custom trans. So, 100k. But it pays off.

You must really not be trying Joe... as said elsewhere in 'real' terms I'm still not out of the beginner series in A-spec and my most used car is my starting MX-5, but I have moved up to level 17 and have 140,000,000 in the bank without ever feeling like my progress was halted.

I started and did low level license tests, when each special event opened up I did that, then just by going from license test to special event and back again my level (and cash!) went up and up. Saying you have to grind 7,500,000 is a joke really, you get more than that in one go for winning some of the special events.

It wasn't listed in the update notes but John said he was able to manually tweak the level of the damage model - is this new with the latest patch?

It seems to me that people are really going to have to start scraping the bottom of the barrel if they want to keep bitching (sure they will though). Saying that the online challenge events are tedious... I mean, come on! Ungrateful swines!

140 million! christ. I've never had more than 700k in my bank at any one time.

Is this the JP version where you get loads of money or something?

I don't understand how that is possible. Unless you are doing the same races again and again. Cr. 140,000,000? I've not earnt that much since I started playing. I've now done all of beginner, and most of amateur and professional too.

I'm finding it rather puzzling TBH. Perhaps I am missing something.

I certainly have no idea about the damage model, or even how to adjust it either.

What damage model?

I have no clue either. I don't bother with it. But that damage patch was for using online mechanical damage in practice mode.. or something.

I still hate the online though. I am waiting and waiting... but people probably love to waste time with free drive. I just want to be pitted into a balanced match and go at it. ie filter on Super GT class and rip around in my Castrol Supra or Xanavi against others. Much like how Need for Speed Hot Pursuit quickly starts balanced and exciting races. And did I hear something about Friend codes in GT5? Its probably good when actually IN a race, but the convoluted mess of its design doesn't help.

And seeing how a lot of players already block you on purpose, drive in the wrong direction etc.. GT sadly needs ghost cars too.
