The top 7 entries on the FR time trial challenge were all set using a 900 degree steering wheel controller.. I thought that was interesting. The time trial scoreboards are almost perfect, but they are still missing a friend filter.

I'm placed 3300 or so, 6 seconds off the pace, after reducing my cars weight to the bare minimum allowed. Must try harder :/

They could at least have given us some more Exp as well!

Just done about a dozen runs of the Extreme Dream Indy Race which has got me to Lv 29. I now have 1.8 mil in the bank.

Exploited the save backups to let a friend have a Formula GT. Saved game. Sent Car and restored save. At least he doesn't need to send it back to me. I'd even done the chassis and the engine!!

I'm also using a 900 degree controller. Not that it helps. I've also noticed they use manual gearshift for the top players.

The GT-TV stuff is amazingly good quality, I've just been watching some more. Above all else though it highlights what a lucky bugger Yamauchi is, no wonder he took his time making the game - if I was privy to that lifestyle I'd be dragging it out as much as possible too!

my GT5 is working again - when i pulled the disc out i found it completely stained how come?

luckily i was able to clean it and now i'm back in the game.

I'd recommend getting B-spec on the job as early as possible. Mine's now level 32 and I've left him doing the 4 hour endurance race on the Nurburgring, it's great when you can just set him doing endurance races when you go to bed etc. I can't wait to unlock the 9 hour race, that'll be handy for the night shift!

I don't know why some people are having trouble with this, and I'd have thought it shouldn't be necessary to start again, if anything do the races again, starting from the beginning, but keep using your current save, a little bit of grinding should get you out of your rut, and you can always get B-spec to do it.

Probably because they find B-spec a massive bore?

I've yet to watch any. Was pretty gutted that all the drift style stuff isn't available in the UK. I want Best Motoring! hmmph.

You don't have to watch it! Besides, I did most of A-spec before bothering with B-spec, the level grinding gets out of hand in the end, but not 'til about level 28. If you do all the licenses and available special events, then do the available A-spec stuff, then you shouldn't need to do any grinding 'til around level 23 or so.

Wait 'til you get to around level 30 if you want to complain about the grinding, then you'll have something to complain about!

                      Man B(oring)Spec mode is pointless.

Indeed, boring as ****. You need to endure it though if you want some of the trophies.

It wouldn't be so bad if the XP you earned was universal and allowed you to rank up and open up stuff in A-spec, but no, BOTH sides of the game leave you in a deep rut of endlessly grinding.

Erm, how do I recharge my drivers mental and physical strength also? He's fooked after a few races. I doubt he'd win the next if I put him in now and I can't seem to make another driver despite there being 5 spare slots.

You can recruit a second driver when you're level 5.

By the way, you could consider B-spec until level 6, then beat the Miata cup with a maxed out MX5. The Furai prize car can also win Like the Wind (only 580hp, but just 800kg too). Its quite cheap to max it out too.

Yeah I'm going to stick with it, I've just noticed when he started this race he was back to normal strengthwise also! So he just resets between races it seems.

Yeah, their health should be fully restored after each race. If you mean the "mood" arrow, I'm not sure how that works. Even if my driver wins umpteen races in a row without me instructing him, the arrow still points down.
