Shared a "rollercoaster" track for a change. A clean lap in a fast car becomes rather difficult. Using the Citroen GT Concept I managed to do a rollover on two consecutive laps!

I believe Arcade Mode has no leaderboards. Ofcourse a patch will add them like they are doing with dozens of things like this, but ofcourse this should've been in the game right away (a lot of those things were in Prologue even).

You have to do seasonals for online leaderboards IIRC.

Oh FFS! Its more like "Gran Turismo 5:The offline RPG edition" I am shelving this before I break the disc. When they actually finish the game I may try again.

Wait, you don't have online access? Weren't you the one complaining that online mode didn't reward xp? If you do have online access then you have nothing to moan about, there are plenty of drift trial scoreboards to tackle.

Bassman loved yr track, had a great race on it the Eifel/55 race one I think. Used the balck custom GT motor show car. Going up the big hill was nice. Is good fun to try custom tracks, so different to the normal ones.


Saw the new Ferrari GTO on Top Gear wanted to buy it, but it's not on the game as far as I know . A patch would be nice with the new Zonda also included.

To be honest I'm just tired of your constant hate campaign against this game and it's makers, I noticed it has even spread to other threads.

Every time you post, it's either to share something or other you've found that you think will make the game look bad, or just a generic "this game is ****" comment. A particular classic was when you tried to jeer at the fact they were releasing an update patch with new features.. you need a really warped view of the world to see that as a bad thing.

Most of the other detractors got bored a long time ago, is there some special reason you have this massive chip on your shoulder? Did someone at PDI steal your girlfriend or something?

Fair enough and fair comment. I think that you have difficulties sharing a different opinion than your own, but no need to go into a massive personal attack over it. All I did yesterday was post about leaderboards, I didn't know they weren't active, I don't follow Twitter updates, Facebook etc. to get the latest info.

I would post a massive reply to you but I have better things to do than waste loads of time on it. But you get your wish, I will stay out of the GT thread from now on. All I will say to you is though, I am not the only one disappointed by this "game" and you may encounter others that feel the same and I wish you luck with that.

lol, difficulty sharing an opinion. I think everybody knows what the popular opinion of GT5 is. Those of us still playing and posting about the game are most likely enjoying it nonetheless.

We've had three months of negativity, I'm just wondering when enough is enough and we can start getting a higher percentage of constructive comments in this thread.

two months after release and still playing it a bit everyday.
i'm just buying cars that i quite like the look of, and testing them out in whatever race they are eligible for. its always a joy to find out what my newest purchase can do. that G25 wheel i got (for ?100!) has got to be one of the greatest purchases i ever made. quite amazing the feedback it gives you, every car really feels different straight away.

its surprising that a quick test ends up with me playing for an hour or so.

used a lot of my alt accounts money to get the citroen race car the other day (gifted it to my 'real' account) which was quite nice. was going to keep saving for one of the ferrari F1 cars, but that seems like it would be a waste right now.

I admit the game disappoints me at times, but I am still playing it constantly.

Did a little B spec today in the shape of the Suzuka 1000 Km in the FGT. Only good point was the 354K Exp that I got on winning... in around seven and a quarter hours!! When the race started it was chucking it with rain and I started Bob (R Hammond) with Racing Rain tyres. after my Sunday afternoon nap (!) I noticed Bob was wanting to use Racing Hards. One minor problem... it was still raining. Spinning on most corners was not clever. Fortunately a 10 lap lead was useful at this point. After a couple of futile attempts to get Bob to return to Rain tyres I gave up and resorted to Racing Softs. This gave Bob and fighting chance. Fortunately the sun came out (well... the rain stopped) and he was overtaking the other cars left, right and centre! Bob did his usual Pit Stop at the end of the penultimate lap to replace part worn tyres and no fuel. He ran out of fuel about 75% of the way around the circuit... of course, 15 laps up!

So, you finished in last place? What happens when they run out of fuel.. the race continues until everybody else finishes?

It's really daft that they put you in the role of team director issuing commands to the driver, but don't allow you to specify the tyres or fuel that he takes in the pits.

You can set fuel and tyres when you enter the pits

Then... why is this thread full of comments saying their driver kept choosing the wrong tyres? and running out of fuel?
