I've never ran out of fuel but the AI also picks on tyres deciding on the weather. So if the track is too wet for slicks but not wet enough for inters it loops, pitting in each lap. Unless you cancelled it every lap.

Then... why is this thread full of comments saying their driver kept choosing the wrong tyres? and running out of fuel?

Because they're incredibly dumb, just like the opposition drivers.

That scenario Bassman described about his Suzuka 1000KM race wasn't a one-off. You can guarantee that if its raining, the B-spec driver will insist on running with dry weather tyres. If you manually overrule him and fit wets during a stop, he'll just pit a lap later and try and equip the dry tyres again.

Its ridiculous that **** hasn't been fixed in any of the patches so far. It pretty-much doubles the length of time that race should take.

If you run out of fuel you'll just cruise with about 40mph until you hit the pits. Nothing major if you have a multiple lap lead.

It is actually 50 mph. So no problem with the win.

Now Lv 32 on B spec, so the X2010 at Lv 35 (not sure whether that is driver level or overall level as I got the Lv 30 Trophy when a driver turned Lv 30). S Loeb is now Lv 33 (or is Class 33 as I am never really sure).

B spec today saw me run the 4 Hours at the 'Ring this morning. At least I got the IS F Concept as a prize. Followed it with the German Touring Car Series for a White '82 Quattro. A "Like the Wind" got my driver to 33.

My multiplied Tickets finally got me the XJR-9 LM last night. Now have well over 200 Standards with no mileage. Beginning to get some decent cars from those.

Tried out the Honda S800 Race Car which I added the Stage 3 Turbo to. Nice little car. Needless to say it is not overpowered at 133 HP (and around 600 Kg... ish) with the upgrade but handles very well and good for 130 mph. Can't remember the cost from the UCD but would probably outperform cars with somewhat more power. Comes with Racing Hards.

Just about to hit level 34 B-spec today. Zzzz. Thank god for multiple hdmi tvs!

Gonna pretty much stop playing once I get the X2010 in Redbull colours. Ill probably still check the seasonals weekly but im pretty much done. I really really want the vintage ferarri (name escapes me), but if I save upto 20 mil then spend it, im at 0 again and have to start over, it maddens me theres a cash cap cause ive been spending to stop wasting money most of the time!

I "duplicate" a shiny new Ferrari 330 P4 and send you, if you like, though it will need to be after midnight as I used all my send slots for today (put a backup of my XJR-9 LM onto another of my three "main" accounts).

Other than B spec I just seem to be trying out some cars and also doing some online with Friends. Only A spec now are the Seasonals which fortunately I need to complete for the current lot that finish on Thursday. That on various accounts!

4 hours into my 9 hour B spec challenge atm, ZZZzzzzz, god bless the x2010 though, means no intervention.

I have all the expesnive cars and most of the LM racers as well (still need an Audi R8 '01 and some Pescarolos) gradually getting 0 mile LM cars as well (XJR-9 LM, Nissan R89CP and R92CP, Audi R8 '05, BMW V12 LMR and Sauber Mercedes C9).

The only cars that are worth getting are some of the standards from the UCD. Ones that come to mind are the Tommykaira ZZ II (one of the few road cars with adjustable downforce), Altezza Touring Car and IS200 GT-1 Race Car. The ZZ II is low mileage though I now have a 0 miler.

As for the expensive cars I love the Alfa (upgrades to 240 HP or so)(prize car), The XJ13 is good (prize). The Muira is OK, I used it for the Extreme Euro Rome race a few times. 330 P4 is good (Rome again). Not a huge fan of either of the Chaparrals. The Gulf '69 GT40 (prize car) I have not driven other than maybe a quick test drive. SImilarly I have not driven the Ford GT Mk IV very much other that a quick blast on the Le Mans circuit with no chicanes.

I have around 800 cars now, plus a number of duplicates (made some of the unremovable upgrades and bought a second example of the car to drive stock).

Rog, thanx for the Vitz man. You don't happen to have a Mercedes-Benz 190 E 2.5 - 16 Evolution II '91 or a Mercedes-Benz 190 E 2.5 - 16 Evolution II Touring Car '92 available as a gift do you? Pretty much the only cars I desire and I don't know how to earn them.

Need to check the new seasonals as I aint been online for about a week or so. I need to save for a blue NSX Raybrig, can't wait to buy it and use it in the Japanese Extreme events. Not sure if it will let me use my black stealth cars. Need to do Like the wind too when I ge to level 21 or so.

I have shiny new examples of both those 190E's. Thought one was a prize but doesn't appear to be in the list. Could take a few days to get them to you as I have a couple of classics for Hexxed and both the 190E's are on my main account only! If another turns up on my duplicated Ticket 1000 Accounts I can send one tonight, though I may need to send a Friend Request!

Ran a couple of Indy 500's this evening (need to sleep sometime!). Now need another four of them to reach B spec Lv 33. Should manage that tomorrow.

Losing interest in that last remaining Seasonals. May not do them on all my accounts. Maybe we will get a new one this week after their "official" break!

Managed a few black Standard motors tonight from the Tickets! Not sure how many appear in the UCD that colour. Tonight (in Black) were the '97 (or thereabouts) Camaro, '87 Turbo Esprit and '87 R31Skyline. Also managed the '00 Raybrig NSX. Finally managed a 0 mile Golf GTi Mk 1 albeit in White (same as the UCD).

Will maybe get another Indy 500 or two in before the morning!
