    That made me smile..

About the deku leave Islands… they are highlighted on ur map when the 20 minutes begins to count down. It is a fairly faint leave shape. When u water one, that shape lights up. It really is quite simple to get all of them within the 20 mins. Just make sure u plan on where u wish to go and keep in a sensible order.

I'm up to the last part now, where I have to collect all the parts of the Triforce, although it's been about a fortnight since I played on it. I'm not sure whether it's the idea of going on a long-winded treasure hunt again or if I'm going through one of my 'cold' periods on games, but the urge to complete this title isn't that high.

I've had massive enjoyment from it, but the push to yet another easy to kill boss then an end sequence isn't enough to get me back to the console, it was much like this when I reached the end of a Final Fantasy game after 60+ hours playing and just didn't have enough stamina left to slug it out with the end boss - I felt I had already seen all the game had to offer.

Might try and pull myself back to it this weekend though.

I don't know what counts as a spoiler and what doesn't, so to be on the safe side I'll stick the whole lot in like this:

Well I finished last night, and whilst it is a marvellous game it just isn't up there with OoT or LttP for me. A lot of it feels like padding... the whole collecting the triforce shards section (as other people have pointed out) seems almost rushed - maybe half as many shards, but with a proper dungeon each would have been better (as someone mentioned below, if they did take a couple of dungeons out then boo hiss!) - rather than eight, when all they consist of is a simple puzzle (if that) to get a map, and then go fish. And the dungeons that are in there don't seem as complex or even as large as OoT's. I think a lot of the problem though lies in the fact that OoT was the first Zelda in 3d, so this one was always going to suffer the feeling of similarity whilst OoT felt fresh and new. WW is a fantastic game, and my favourite GC game so far, but certainly some way short of Link's best outing.

But what about the coup de grace on Ganon - talk about brutal

i agree, and come to think of it. I was disspointed with the final battle with ganon on WW.

            Just a quick question -

When you sink a ship at sea and a Treasure Globe appears, how the hell do you break it and collect the bounty inside?

I use the Hook Shot to break the Treasure Globe. But, you have to be quick to collect the goodies.

Is the "treasure globe" the small coloured (colours change), circular thingy that foes drop? If so, the best way i have found to collect the items while they are on the water is by using ur trusty boomerang. Using that makes u able to select all the items and the boomerang brings them straight back to you... handy that

Could someone please tell me how to get the last schoolchild off the tree (the ones who you need to 'talk' to to get back to school).

I've flown over and stood next to him but to no avail, I've tried hammering the root of the tree but nothing works??

to be honest I thought it was a very good game. But not great like OOT.

The animation and style were a great improvement, the the vast blue ocens were just plain boring. At the end of the game when you go to Hyrule it looks fantastic. Imagine if the whole world looked like that.

I know Nintendo state that the lack of major dungeons is made up for by many minor ones, but **** me most are tiny and exactly the same, or just one room repeated over and over.

                            The battles are easy.

The puzzles easy, maybe just because I'm used to zelda puzzles but I think there going to have to rethink the puzzle basic for another game or else there's going to be a back lash.

The improvements animation, camera and the more philosophical mauture storyline. But everything else is a step backwards.

Tbh, I think the reason why I absolutely adored WW as much as I did, was because I experienced the puzzles and dungeons with a sense of discovery while playing through the jap version. Nothing was given away via text and every last thing to do had to be figured out by examining the environments.

I loved this sense of unknowing I really do feel that less “hints” would have been better. This is why I shall stay firm against my believe that I am 100% glad I played through the Japanese version first to enjoy the puzzles and dungeons to their utmost potential, while loving the US version for the mini dungeons and story…

But saying that, the reason I believe WW seems more simple then OOT is because of the tasks and puzzles in WW are very much less restricted then oot. A small example being the bomb plants… If say, u had to blow up a bomb plant on a wall in OOT you have to make some sort of heat touch it… in ww you are give a number of things to do. You can of course apply heat to the bomb, but u can also throw a items at it, such as a rock or a stick. Little things like this help to make the overall experince of WW seem more polished and ‘real’ then OOT. Of course, throwing a pebble at a bomb isn’t exactly very relastic, but I hope u can see what I am trying to say…

                              Regards
                              Adam
