      Against mates is one thing...

This, versus bots, on the WiiU GamePad with my Tritton Kunai, is brilliant.

No stress at anti-whatever Americans, no trashtalk, just playing for fun and enjoying it.

For my loadouts I just use two, swapping items as they fully level up. My main one is the initial assault rifle with reticule and back up from the second rocket launcher for killing all those UAVs for score boosts. Then claymore, flashbang and perks to let me run longer, fall higher and speed up scorestreaks.

My second loadout swaps the rockdt launcher for a semi automatic sniper rifle and my fall perk for one allowing me to keep my assault rifle too

One class ive recently tried is a flag capture (domination and hardpoint) set up.
LMG, so its got a large mag to create suppressing fire.
trophy system for grenades. smoke for cover.
then lightweight and extreme cond. to get to the points faster.

basically, when the game starts, just dash for B, and chuck the above at the target, hit prone, and in theory, get B before anyone else.
you could prob use a sub machine gun with extended mags for the primary to get there even faster

We used to play local quake with bots and 4 player. It was brilliant. Is the AI tuneable?

Could not agree more with you I too love playing on the Wii U Gamepad whilst watching TV and just chilling out and having fun against bots. I can spend ages doing all the maps, like you say no trash talking and no campers. Also when i play against bots i also get to try out the Killstreaks as i dont tend to last long enough online to try the high score streaks

I have replayed MW1, 2, BO1, BO2 online MP and all are screwed in favour of the people with high ping and slow connections. I am so tired of being shot by players I can't see etc. etc.

Maybe one day when we are ALL on fast connectons I might have a chance, but right now, the coding for these games favours the poorest (connection) players. it beggars belief that in an age when we are being offered faster and faster connections, that those who can't (or won't) pay for them, get a better on-line experience than those who can (or will) get them.

FFS, developers, sort this out. If this was SKY TV, or BBC IPlayer, there would outcry and court cases galore.

I always read this yet never seem to experience it myself?

I've gone from 10mb > 20mb > 30mb and now 60mb Virgin Media connections (each time Speed Tested to pretty much advertised speed) and yet never have problems with lag or stupid deaths people talk about or not seeing the people that shoot me, the problem seems to be quite widespread and game ruining for sure but I don't see why its never effected me in any of the games?

To add to this thread, I played Black Ops II this week for another 45mins online while I waited for my MW3 playing friend to get home from work and I really cant get used to it or enjoy it what so ever, I hate the class setups and scorestreaks, they seem to ruin everything I like from MW3's customization?

Still loving everything MW3 has to offer

Both MW3 and BO2 are beyond ****e online. I fail to see why anyone would think they are superior to their predecessors.

For everything added in this new version, like the pick 10 system... They've completely destroyed the diversity of the classes by presenting maps with no space or verticality. In fact I'd go as far to say the map selection is absolutely awful and the worst I've seen in the series.

I played online yesterday simply to entertain some of my family staying here at the moment. I probably had one match where I didn't hit positive K/D and a couple where I dominated... Yet it all feels so boring. The lag is still there and it was as annoying as ever.

I'm actually trading it once the family flies home. Going to pick up Dark Souls instead.

All the recent COD games are the same online, you run around and shoot people, the only things that would make a difference and make one better than another is if the gunplay or the maps wernt up to scratch.

The gunplay in BO2 is the same as in every other COD game made since COD2 and the maps are all down to preference.

For someone to say that the MP is great in one game in the series and bad in another is hilarious.

been cracking through this and if you dont achieve all secondary tasks (like the level where you listen to the baddies) does it affect the final outcome?

anyway actually enjoying it and much much better than the very poor black ops, modern warfare as a series are better games in my opinion

Maybe we should switch to Virgin, I have Infinity Two 70mb.

That's it finished now and it's much better than the previous black ops but still falls short of modern warfare

Strike force I enjoyed but I just played it like COD normal levels and didn't bother with the RTS element

This is what I fell short on and my choices

Didn't get all the listening intel
Shot the dude in the head
                              Wounded the admiral
Decided to shoot menendez rather than my friend
Decided to arrest menendez at the end

Looks like I didn't crack the celerium worm

Ending was mason having his throat slit by menendez and him setting fire to himself over his sisters grave and then the rock concert

Just a shame I can't pick a level and just do that without the rest being subsequently erased and having to do them all again for the unlockables and story progress

I dont see how that is hilarious? Whilst they obviously share the same mechanics they are all quite different in subtle ways under the surface... and in some respects its these minor differences that change the game for the worse.

As an example I find aiming from prone in BO2 is more difficult now as the left stick feels more sensitive and can pull you off the target. Similarly I find the assault rifles have been nerfed and arent as accurate as they were in BO or MW2. Thats just the gunplay side of things. The map layouts just compound this further.

Then you add on how every game has remixed the kill-streaks and really changed the tactics to achieve them. In MW2 you had the stackable streaks with the air being overloaded with air-craft but consequently people equally using counter measures to take them down. In BO2 it feels like people are really either camping it up or sprinting around hip firing SMGs to obtain streaks. Funny thing is I'm up to rank 45 now and havent seen over half the streak rewards which is telling in itself.

In summary... sure its the same game if want to generalise and same its just running around shooting people. For me that isnt a description of COD, but of the FPS genre. Under the covers the tweaks and minor changes do influence the core gameplay and in my opinion to say its just all down to map prefernece is equally hilarious.

This is the worst iteration of COD (for me), closely followed by MW3. I'd put COD4 and BO out in front for different reasons.
