The Packet Relay Tool. I use it. It's the exact same experience as playing on the Wii U. I strongly recommend the Circle Pad pro however.

There is much to do in single player, but it's four times as hard as playing co-op. The first few hours are single player though, to get you in the swing of things. It depends on what you mean by quick play as each mission is 50 minutes long, although it often doesn't take anywhere near that amount of time to fell a monster if you have a good group.Kept you waiting, huh?

Just been trying out the light bowgun, but for Christ's sake the demo just gets worse and worse. A few shots and the weapon needs reloading. Can't figure out for the life of me how to do so though.
Edit: Oh I see how it works. Ammo isn't unlimited. One you run out then seemingly the character is ****ed. Can I get more ammo or do I need to beat on monsters with my hands at this point?
Edit 2: Finally! Only took me a quarter of my time limit to figure it out......Last edited by Daragon; 26-04-2013, 13:40.

I've meant to try this again but I think I am going to pass. I am completely bought into it being a wonderful game, and I know that it's likely if I got into this I would get *really* into it, but it's on a par with MMOs in terms of time needed, and I don't think I'm ready to dedicate what little gaming time I get purely towards MH.
I will do this dance again come MH4, and we'll see then if they've made the first 10 hours any more attractive to newbies. Maybe that'll help push me over the edge.

I have to say I am enjoying it more now that I am slowly 'getting it'. The demo just didn't do it for me, but its in no way an indication of the actual game.
I haven't got that far or got around to MP yet, which I am sure is fun as well. Not going to let this consume as much time as is needed though otherwise it will turn into another WOW for me.
For me I will just put a good few hours here and there into it, I don't have the time these days to sink days into it at a time. And I am not going to neglect everything else I should be playing in the process, gone down that route before and its not good.
From what I can see though I will enjoy what is there, just not on a day to day - 8 hour session basis.
