It's be good if I could actually get a game. I've spent the last hour going in and out of lobbies
    Kept you waiting, huh?

With P3rdHD on the PS3 you would have literally had to restart from scratch each time rather than just exit and move to another lobby.

I'm glad to hear you're enjoying it j0e.

I've got the online sorted now, I had to power cycle my router.

I'm starting to get into it now. I just need to do the first Urgent Quest to get up to HR2, and then I'll be farming to get my bow upgrade started. Cera Cylord is what I'm eventually aiming for, but for now I'm not sure whether to go down the Aquasteed Harp or Selene Moonbroken routes.

Other than tomorrow, I'll be playing all week.

I've convinced the boy to get a Wii U and MH3U now too, which he'll be doing in a fortnight. I've got half a team together already.

I'm back on from Tuesday after my exam, so hopefully 3pm MT/10pm BST-ish. I may have to stop by the supermarket and get some sushi for dinner on the way home though.

          I CAN'T WAIT.

I'm still only HR2 myself right now, although I've unlocked high rank village quests so am starting to get some better kit. My favourite gunner armour is the Ingot set as you only need to mine ore for it. I'm not sure if it benefits bows much, but it does increase Thunder attack so helps against Rathian/los and Gobul. The recoil reduction only benefits when using heavy bowguns.

I can do 22:00-00:00 BST no probs. I'll get up to HR2 this evening in that case, then we can co-op.

8 hours of online MP later, I had to take a break to go to the supermarket and get some sunshine.
What I always find funny about MH is that you can play online until you need a break, and then offline for another 4 hours no problem. The change of pace is very much like a rest.

I've been playing all day. I've just realised that I haven't made hardly any progress due to helping out other people.

Right, can someone try their very best to convince me I should buy this game because the demo is doing an ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE job of it. This Lacombe or w/e it's called is supposed to be an "easy" target for "novices" Now I've killed it a grand total of once after using up 15 minutes of the 20 minutes allocated to killing it using the twin blades. Pretty much none of the jobs are meant for soloing it, the controls are extremely counter intuitive (you need to put away your weapon to use a potion, during which time you can't move and afterwards your character feels the need to flex about it, all the while a damn ugly polar bear is charging you so you end up losing more health than the potion gave you).

How early into the game is the demo set? Can I earn better equipment than the tripe the demo hands you with to help take it down? I love how capcom on the one hand didn't include online play with the 3ds version but on the other didn't turn down the difficulty to compensate. Are these tiny whateverthe****stheyare SERIOUSLY all the 3ds owners get to take on screen filling beasts?

I said convince me to buy it, not tell me to buy it

You can play online with Kryss and I, and it'll be awesome.

The demo does a really bad job at ensuring new players are welcomed to the world of Monster Hunter.

Plus to break down monster hunter in demo form is counter intuitive, since the longer you play the game (say 20-50 hours) is when it really begins to kick off.

A game for people with Attention Defecit Syndrome this isn't.

The fact that the demo doesn't incorporate multiplayer is scandalous, since I'd say a lot of the enjoyment is lost without three other buddies taking out the creature with you.

The real satisfaction is really building up your arsenal of weapons and armours (and whether you're bothered with it) min-maxing character skills from armours.

Do you own the thing which apparently lets 3DS owners go online? Is anything lost with it or is it just as fluid as playing with the Wii U version?
