I'd go online and get a bit tougher if you are running out of time. Remember that you need to balance out both games. I'd get up to HR4 before attempting that hunt. Fire weapons will help you though.

Today's DLC event was supposed to be the Giroro mask (at least for Japan it was) but what do we get... Squat diddly.
Not even a re-skin.
Though the loss of Pirate J armour is a bigger loss. Now my uber leech armour combo of great luck and carver pro along with some other skill (no weapon slot) can't be achieved without Pirate J armour pieces.
Blah.

Right anyone got some good tips for a beginner, I've just picked this up on Wii U and want to give it a fair crack of the whip so to speak.
Till now I've always found this series to be a poor man's Phantasy Star Online. The inface and design still seem a little backward, but it's improved since the PS2 era.
I quite liked the Wii U demo of Monster Hunter 3 and didn't have any trouble with the Yeti creature, when using fast characters. The Underwater creature in the demo I couldn't beat but I found as a archer I did the most damage. Based on the demo I'll go with the faster weapons and the bow.
But as a starting out character what's the best quests to approach?
Also did they remove the region server lock? If not I'll be stuck with PAL players only.
