There should be some more Seasonals tomorrow (Tuesday) morning. I will be completing the car ones on those other accounts today (even though I am only on 170% Bonus). I think that Seasonals that give you a car should be left active for new purchasers of the game (unless superceded by another with the same car).

Those Seasonals are a lot easier if you are well acquainted with the track. I just proved that on an old GT5 Birthday account I reactivated on the new PS3 (as there was only one account on there of course). The account e1962x (I wonder what year that was for!) I did enough to Gold the B License for the Seasonals and did the 4 for the cars. Did badly with the FT-1 scraping just inside Gold. At Bathurst I managed a new best of 2:03.770. Needless to say I was pleased with that. I almost got 3 seconds inside Gold with the Corvette as well!!

Cheers for the info on Seasonals, look fwd to those. Watched the KAZ: KAZ: Pushing the Virtual Divide documentary which is now on Playstation blog was really interesting I thought. I did some mission races the Nur Ring black Nissan one was fun and some more Nascar which gives quite good pay outs.

Is it my imagination or have those Seasonals changed their date from 4am on the 11th to 3am on the 13th. Somewhat sneaky I think. So, no new events until Thursday.

At least all the accounts I have been using to get some Birthday cars are now at 200%. I will be interested to see what cars I get. Years due to come up in the next couple of months are 1954, 1961, 1962, 1963, 1964, 1966, 1968, 1974, 1987 and 1990.

New Seasonals. More Prize Cars are suitable.

High End Performance G37 at Willow Springs
          Rocket at Suzuka
Mitsubisho Evo at Chamonix on Ice

          They expire in 4 weeks.

Needless to say I will be buying a G37 (unlikely to get all Gold on the IA License) and the Evo VI TMR (no stripes), which I have been using on another account for some of the races and is Fully Detailed and cheap enough to be an early purchase.

Just seen those over on GTPlanet, look forward to giving them a whirl tonigt, and getting back to beating your times

Rocket at Suzuka should be a laugh.

Sure all the Licences were pretty easy to gold bar the final S Licence.

I hate that Chamonix race. I have the Tractiion Control off at the moment and am about 5 seconds off the Bronze time. What are the best driving settings?

I hate all the rally/snow races in GT series ever. I got withing 4.5 seconds of gold on second attempt and gave up, not fun for me so pass.

Settings wise, TCS off, ABS 1 and the two driving aids turned on is what I went for. I was 8 seconds off gold on first lap and thought I had done a decent lap too, very tough. Just don't brake anywhere near as early as you expect to have to, most corners can be taken much faster if you turn in early enough. One of those that requires practice, practice and a bit more practice.

Should be settings/videos on GTPlanet/Youtube by now.

I golded the other two easy enough, scrappy laps in places and not much under gold time, didn't play with gearings really bar extending top speed on the Rocket but the ghosts give you something to shoot for

Sounds as if your settings were the same as mine. I did weight reduction which improved things slightly. Lost interest in that race though. I hardly braked at all. Car was maybe slightly off line and just wasn't interested in accellerating.

I would have done all I can within the PP limits yes sorry, that's always my first port of call.
Weight down and racing brakes are always the first thing I do before trying to upgrade the BHP.

                    Life's too short for GT6 rally/snow races

1:19.931! As I was 1.2 up on my previous Gold time I reckon I could get into the high 1:18's! Made a mess of the two sharp bends.

480PP with Full Weight Reduction including Bonnet and Windows. All the cheap engine options (Computer, Cat and the other at under 2000). Custom Tranny (set to 155 mph), LSD (3/30/10 each end). Middle Diff set to 50/50 (probably didn't need it). Rally Suspension. Car was the Evo VI RS TM Edition.

Only settings that affect the car were SRF on and ABS set to 1. Stability Control absolutely kills the time.

Well done, stability control must be what's hampering me, did recall after my post reading somewhere that it was best to set everything to 0 on rally events.
Will return to this over the weekend now I have a good ghost to compete against.

Used the EVO IV on RogsR35UK with Computer, Manifold, Cat and Mid Range Turbo with all Weight Reduction. After a few laps I just scraped inside the Gold by .3 of a second. ABS 1 and SRF on as the only car assists.

Fancy giving this a crack Bassman? just a Japanese PSN account is needed I believe, it's not as if either of us will even get inside the top ten thousand probably but could be educational. Sort of.

EDIT: you need an International B licence to take part as it's a Seasonal, best to sign up with a HK account as it's all in English then.

I have a Japanese account which is no good of course. I'll have to set up am HK account on that second PS3 (good excuse to get a Birthday gift in the near future as well! Need to get a valid HK address of course.

I did set up a 1960 account on the new PS3 as an experiment to see what I would get. None too brilliant a selection... unfortuntely...

                              BMW 507
                              Mercedes 300SL Gullwing
                              Subara 360
                              VW Beetle '49
                              Citroen 2CV
                              Nissan Skyline (the old one)
                              Jaguar E Type
                              Mario Andretti Hudson
Corvette Racer (the old open one)

I went for the Hudson as I missed out on the Seasonal for it on that new PS3. Almost went with the 300SL, but the Hudson eventually appeared and on the fourth or fifth appearance I went with it. Yes, I spent a good while reloading in case one of the high value cars came up. Another "Birthday" on the 24th so I will be interested to see what I get for that!

Turns out you need a Asian version of the game to be able to take part so ignore me. Shame, would have fancied a go, but hear it's a pretty boring car/track combo.

One thing I did notice though, play GT6 with a JPN account and you get given ten free Anniversary cars the first time you fire up the game.

You don't need a vaild HK address by the way, it's 100% English the sign up and you can just make up anything as I did last night.
Believe HK may get different bits to Japan, so probably worth having an account going forward.
