I can't remember, but I did them fairly soon after starting the game. They do pay out fairly well compared to the early races. I have a just started game on another account. I'll check that.
Edit...
You have to get the National A License which opens up when you get 20 Stars in the National B Races. Completing that opens it up.Last edited by Bassman; 17-12-2013, 02:51.

Been playing both this and Forza 5 at the same time and I have to say I've been enjoying this more than that game overall, even though this is actually a worse racing game.
As I originally stated there's barley any challenge here for most part, and if you want a thrilling racing experience then Forza is certainly better yet this is just much more of a compelling and warmer experience.
It is a shame the A.I. is so crap, GT is such a single player focused experience that its odd that they never seem to try to make your opponents anything other than dumb moving obstacles, you never feel like you're in a race, rather every event in the game just feels like yet another license test. The constant minute long load times are also frustrating as you spend as much time waiting as you do playing.
Yet for all its faults it still pulls you back time and time again and is ultimately a satisfying experience. I'm not even sure how it does it, there's just something special about it, even if its not really a racing game.Last edited by rmoxon; 17-12-2013, 07:15.

Well, that was "fun".
I decided it was time to start the Super Races. Decided to give the first one a miss for the moment as I am not a fan of the track. Abandoned a GT-R LM Prototype attempt and went with a car I'd used before in the shape of the Toyota 7... this at Apricot Hill. I went my usual approach and added 200 Kg of Ballast and adjusted the power down to get the PP650 required for the race.
I'd figured I could get 8 laps out of the fuel. Fortunately by then I had a very comfortable lead. Unfotunately for the last few corners the worst tyre had 2 on the gauge. Not very much grip so I made my way somewhat more gingerly to the pits. The Toyota only takes 93 Litres of fuel so that was a bonus (the GT-R I tried had 101). Within a very few laps the tyres were shot again (8 laps the first time and probably 4 or 5 this time). Not clever. The lead I had was more than enough for a Pit Stop, so I went in for tyres. I did set the fuel to 10 Litres (though I wouldn't have needed any). I came out with about a 30 second lead and drove on my merry way. On the final lap I managed to catch up with rather a lot of traffic, especially on the last corner. As I was approaching the Finish Line some AI (Artificial Incompetent would be more appropriate) spun me. No problems with winning just somewhat annoying.
Rather liking the Toyota I took it to Suzuka. Lap 1 was fine. I was comfortably overtaking the opposition. I was overtaking down the straight at the start of Lap 2 and braked for that sweeping right hander and some clown back-ended me and sent me right across the gravel into the barrier. I immediately quit the game out of sheer frustration.
The AI has certainly taken a serious turn for the worse this time around. Mind you Forza 4 had its AI issues to quote the "last" generation!Last edited by Bassman; 17-12-2013, 11:51.

Some the the AI in the S class is quite challenging if you're all in similarly PP'd cars, really push and go off line round a few corners.
Looking at my status I've won 99 out of 125 races or something, can only remember losing about ten races so far I'm sure which is a bit weird.
Talking of frustration, took me 70 minutes to gold the final S Licence test last night, never want to see another Veyron again!
Refuelling takes an ages doesn't it.
Enjoying the rest of the game though and will take on the big Championship that is the final set of races in S Class.
Andretti's original stock car appears in the game this Thursday, maybe as a seasonal challenge? don't know.

All sounds good can't wait to play a Christmas. Have a some hours over Christmas where just me in, so gonna out some time into this. Shame to hear about grind to get better cars but no worse than GT5 I hear. Hope it does not get so bad I have to pay ?3.99 just to get some cash as Seasonals are lower in gT6 aren't they just thinking about it. Some of the longer races you guys mention sound good fun and as I can tell from people's posts each car seems to handle quite differently to the next. Looking forward to the Nissan R34 and GTR plus Toyota Celica Rally car.

See my post in the Headlines thread today, CR payout has gone up plus up to a 200% CR bonus for logging in five days in a row, so effectively the S Licence race I won last night and got 100k for I could get up to 340k for in five days time...
There is no way you need to pay for CR's, especially now.

Downloaded V1.02 and re-downloaded the micro-updates. Inevitably the game froze. Started OK after a reboot. Not the first time that has happened.
No news on the Stockyard yet I presume. I am thinking that is going to be a little more tricky to fix. I suppose the game could save it as a separate file, but that of course could lead to abuse. I still have plenty of space so it is not really a problem. That plus one or two (ish!) Ferrari 250 GTO's that I can sell if I need a space or two!
Now of course, there is no incentive to do any races for 5 days until the 200% Bonus kicks in.
There are two new Seasonals. One with the Mito and another with an Anniversary Car (these could get annoying for people without a good selection of packs). PD ought to allow people to buy the packs as DLC (I thought that games companies were actually out to make money and these would be a good money spinner). It wouldn't upset people who got them for free surely?
As you only get money for a Seasonal once (and the special events) there seems no point in doing them until Monday.
I abandoned the Suzuka race... again. Not sure how to do it as there seems to be a very strong likelihood of rain, which the AI seems able to totally ignore until they pit. Its all very well splashing (!!!) out on rain tyres but you could end up doing a silly number of pit stops in a short race.
As I had a "bit" of spare cash I bought the X2014 Junior to try out. I presume that one ought to be provided for you to use (I don't doubt it will be a Prize) in the series. Must say I rather like it. 246 HP (no oil change) and very high downforce. Used it for a 1:15 or so Free Run lap of Apricot Hill.
Karts... not the most popular for some. Bought the Red Bull variant to get some practice in for the Vettel Kart Championship (when I get the full Bonus %). Needless to say some clown decided that some of the tracks in the series would have variable weather in the Free Run options which means you can't try out the Kart there... doh!!!! The Eiger track was accessible (no weather) and I must say the Red Bull Kart handled no differently to a car (pleasant surprise). Why can't PD give us every track with a no weather options so that we can practise (or just drive) on them with a Kart. Seeing as there is a no weather option in Track settings is it really too much to ask?

Got the Andretti Hudson yesterday. Fortunately for a Bronze on the Seasonal. I am still about 1.5 seconds off Gold. That one seems a lot more difficult than the first ones. Not tried any more due to the Bonus thing.
Logged in now for the bonus and got my Academy GT-R as a gift. If you did Academy, it should be there waiting for you now!
Looks like it is just the Mazda Versions of the MX-5 that get the stripes. I tried a Eunos and there were no stripes.

Yes got my Academy GTR too late night, nice car. Getting gold in all the seasonals gives some really big payouts come January(?), talking up to 12 million credits with the 200% log in bonus.
I have completed 52% of the game looking in the status tab last night, have about 330 stars so far I think so still lots still to do, hate Cones, Karts, Drifting with a passion so have been putting all of them ones off until the end.
Really enjoying playing the game though and can't wait for another go each evening just wish I had more time on my hands, see a few people have the platinum and 101% game completion already.

Cheers for that. Now seen the extra CR info you posted. Nice to know it's been upped. Looked at the price of a GTR and it's 77,000 CR I think it was, so gonna get saving CR.
