Master League sounds awesome. I really like the sound of the experience points, and the player of the year award. Cant wait until there is a full translation doing the rounds.

Yeah Master league has always been my favourite part of the game . Its just so deep and extremely rewarding. I did edit my Master league slightly. So that my ML is entirely compromised of Premiership teams apart from 4 european teams in the bottom league to make up the numbers.

Mate, the best part of ML is assembling your squad full of superstars and then challenging a mate. Marmite will vouch for me on this one. So much more to play for when you've built up your own team from previous seaon's success. It's quality, and I just hope a full translation patch appears before i feck off in Oct to travel the world.

yeah thats what i do .
Hence me starting off without any proper players. I shift all the naff ones (apart from vornander ) after a couple of seasons and build me own squad.
My WE7i ML team had Mutu and saha up front with duff just behind. Classic.

I had Duff out wide, Shevchenko and Raul up front, and Nedved supporting the attackers. Combine this with Carlos at left back and Cafu at right and i was all set up for some serious amounts of goals! Cant wait to build a new team - its going to be a different looking one i reckon based on the new gameplay dynamics and some of the revised stats. Im also starting to really favour formations like Italys where they have one main striker down the middle and two wide forwards either side.

I think im going to be more counter attack minded. Last time i played the gung ho default formation . This time ive opted for the 4-4-2 that arsenal play. Its going to be a long haul though since im languising in mid table in Division 2. Ive not found 6 stars as hard as id imagined and im glad the refs arent as whistle happy as i thought they may have.

Some refs are ****e. Theres one though who i swear is meant to be Collina, and he seems to be the best ive seen so far.

Yeah, when the team is still in the lower leagues and struggling a bit, 4-4-2 is definitely the best tactic. Once the money starts coming in though, get on the attack i say!

If anyone has a chipped PS2 I'll be happy to send it out on cd-r. Its just a case of loading the disc and the file transfers onto your memory card.

Been playing this loads since its release. Apart from the slowdown this is the best and most realistic iteration to date IMO.
One question though, why is it that some players' names differ depending on whether they are used in a club team or national team?

Eg. Van Nistelroy(Man U.) = Van Nisterom (Holland)

This is because i think Konami did not have the rights to these teams or sumthing hence not having Nedved in the Czech side instead using Netoreto i think it is prenounced, who has exactly the same stats but looks bugger all like him. Just change for Juventus vers same with Koller n anyone else u c. What u do is go to transfers on options n go to National team not club. I know u can read Japanese so it's no probs for u, but my Japanese reading is slow at mo so took me a while but it's worth it just to see proper Davids etc. Just exchange all the players for the real ones if u can work out who they r. Seenork = Seedorf etc have fun doing this

Sum do just need names changing ont back of shirts tho e.g. Zaigov =Zenden on bck of shirt n Jonny Heitinga. But as for Deco this is confusing he's called Derro at Porto but Deco at Portugal??

Any news of either quick technical fixes and/or English language support?

I think I remember reading on PA that the manual is in Korean and the game is in Jap so no change from the sound of it - though I don't know anything about gameplay changes.

I did me some game patching last night, Fernando v0.4 and the evo-wen 1.5 option file, very nice stuff, menus are done, no help text though, but I think the Master League will now be manageable. I did a .bin burn of the option file, that worked great after I worked out how to use the crazy app that it boots up.

So the patch worked ok for you, I seem to be getting a black screen after patching. It loads up until after the Konami screen then just sits at a black screen.

Have you tried the Jonboyo's patch yet, it includes Fernando 0.4 but adds extra stadiums, balls etc.
