i had a gamecube sale recently and i had loads of ?5 titles left so i took 12 of them to game

i was offering buy 2 pick another one free so its only really 8 titles at ?5 - so ?40

left with 2 gran turismo 4's and a metal gear 3

I took 2 games that I bought pre-owned the week before into game (SC:PT and Rainbow 6:3) and got a refund. Went to the second hand bin, got the 8 cheapest games and stuck em on the counter.

Said to the guy that I just wanted to rip the offer, so he said "there's no point in me getting the discs out of the drawer then is there?"

I just handed him ?1.98, walked out with the games I came in with, ?30 up and with a cheeky hard-on.

I see Gamestation had a price on the board for buying in Pc Engines !!

I wouldn't mind taking in some GC imports and getting some DS games

I done a simlair but a much lesser scale... had 3 to trade and needed one more to get GT4 cheap, so got a 7.97 POS from the bargain bin and put it on the desk. Got my GT4 for 8.96 class!!

GAME were too stupid last time to notice I'd handed in American copies of Oni and ESPN NFL 2K4, even though the ESRB thing is on the front of both boxes

Sorry guys, got the offer wrong.

You can only get GT4, Metal Gear, Fifa Street, Project Snowblind or Robots in the offer. Basically swap 4 games and 99p for oneof those.

Nothing to stop you choosing Metal Gear, saying it's **** and swapping it for a title not in the offer and paying the difference.

i changed my gt 4 for mercs yesterday. bloody game wouldn't work on my ps2, apparently it seems to be a huge problem for old ps2s.

i have tried and they just are saying
"head office will not refund anyone or trade for anything else not in the offer, they are watching us closley."

I just traded Waverace (GC), Gun Valkyrie (Xbox) and 2 crappy PS2 games which I picked up in Gamestation for ?3.99 each +99p, for a copy of Oddworld Strangers Wrath.

The best part was I did not even need to go to GAME, I asked the chap in Gamestation if they would match GAME's deal (as they have 'we will not be beaten on trade ins' posters all over the store) and after some erm's and ahh's he said yes.

That was in the Cambridge Gamestation BTW.
